Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Carney

I was really disappointed with my treatment at Rita’s. I have been going to Rita’s for years and I have never experienced such embarrassment. I went with my 3 children my 3 year old daughter, 10 year old son, and 16 year old. I asked the girl . If she could pass me one of the custards for my daughter and she said they can’t give out the items until it is paid for. Typically when I go. They hand the items out to the kids as they make them. I literally watched the customer in front of me enjoy his ice cream while his father waited to get his made and then pay for it once his came out. I don’t think my appearance gives the impression that I’m going to run off with ice cream with 3 children. Then she said it loud and proud while I watched other customers eat their custard, or ice. And not be profiled as a thief. But on the bright side I went to the Rita’s on York rd in Towson and I had a wonderful experience I spoke with the owner at that location ms Carrol and she is just the nicest person she listened to my gripe . And put me at ease. Customer service in my opinion has declined drastically over the years . And businesses need to know without customers you have...

I always receive fantastic service and an amazing product from this place but today it was over and above. I had a prepaid Mastercard that I used and it only had a little bit of money left on it so I placed it at the counter for someone to use. However I neglected to let the girl behind the wall know about that. A girl by the name of Emma took the time to track me down on Facebook after finding this card to ask if it belonged to me. Quite possibly the sweetest thing ever. I explained that I was passing it on and in my haste to hurry up and eat my delicious treat forgot to let her know to apply this to the next person's order. What a rip-off! To start off, it took almost 30 minutes to get waited on and there was only two people in line. Ordered two ice creams one small cup and one small cone. They are the same price but the girl working there didn't even fill the cup up with one swirl (maybe two table spoons). The cone had 3 or 4 swirls for the same price (4.19)! When asked the girl told us the reason was the cup was cheaper (Not True!).
