Manny's cafe — Restaurant in Carol Stream

We ordered eggs Benedict, smoked salmon Benedict and a tall stack of chocolate chip pancakes. (Thank you to the reviewer that posted the menu! Online menus didn’t have the entire menu available.) Mom says the eggs Benedict and potatoes are a 5/5. I agree with the salmon benny. (The salmon benny being the reason we chose this place.) I would suggest adding an avocado or fresh tomatoes to the top of the salmon Benny but all in all, food is delicious. I don’t even like potatoes but these breakfast potatoes are 🔥! They are so flavorful, veggies are grilled, I assume the potatoes are too but not sure. The grilled green peppers and onions with the potatoes are really out of this world. (Remember I don’t even like potatoes like that!) The smell of the chocolate chip pancakes filled the car. (We ordered to go.) it smelled AMAZING. Daughter says they are delish and might have overdone it with the tall stack! But the great thing about Choco chip pancakes is how great they taste cold as well as hot. They don’t take Apple Pay and sadly I only had enough cash to cover the order itself so I wasn’t able to tip but Maria said, it’s ok, next time. So darn, I guess we have to go back next weekend so I can make it right with her. 😂 They have 6 tables that seat 4 and one table that seats 2. It’s a bit of a tight space but you know, sometimes the “hole in the wall” restaurants have THE best food and I would say that’s the case with Manny’s! Manny’s Café is incredibly delicious! Their place is everything! Perfect restaurant to grab some quality food for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. You can bring here your family and friends. This place has lots of selection, huge variety, and everything on their menu is really worth a try. The staff here is so welcoming, helpful, nice, friendly, and very professional. They treat all of their customers so right, they all know how to properly talk to the customers, and also they are willing to answer some questions that customers will ask them. Very personable staff. They really made my experience much better and happy. This Manny’s Café got the perfect location, it is very accessible, so near to other places, and they are popular. I ordered a Mushroom Swiss burger and it was good. Not great, but good enough that you can tell the type of burger it is. The highlight of this burger is the 1/2 pound patty... it's BIG! Difficult, in a good way, to fit it in the mouth :D . You want BEEF in your burger? Come here, they gotchya covered. Oh, they use real lettuce in there and not head lettuce.

What wasn't so good was the fries. They tasted like tortas, as if the same oil was used for both. I like my fries to taste like the potatoes used to make them, but they failed here. I just threw them away.

Minor thing: when I called in for the order she didn't ask me how I wanted my meat cooked. I had to tell her how I wanted it cooked, which makes me question if they even have different levels of meat cooking. But I got what I wanted so I guess I'm fine.

My advice to that place:. Fry your fries separately with oil specifically for fry use only. Also maybe cut your fries bigger to allow more...
