On yesterday, we arrived at Carolina Beach for a one day excursion! The weather was perfect and the hotel selection was in an ideal location at the Golden Sands. After a day in the sun and as night approached, we began to look for food. From all the wonderful places we could have chosen, we decided to go on into our room and place a pizza order at Domino's Pizza at 400 N. Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC. The order was placed at 8:53pm and we were told that it would arrive in 20 minutes. We patiently waited and at 9:36pm, I called to check on the status. I was told by the person on the other end of the phone that the delivery person had attempted to deliver the pizza but couldn't reach me and the order was returned to the store. I explained that the my phone didn't have a signal in the room and that I could only use it on the balcony. The Manager (by way of the employee on the phone) stated that the order would be resent immediately and that I would need to meet the delivery person downstairs at the entrance to recieve the order since the hotel's front doors were locked. I immediately proceed downstairs and patiently waited alone at 9:40pm by the door as instructed. No pizza, no driver at least not to my lobby door! I did see several drivers on the street pass by going in both directions but NOBODY stopped at Golden Sands' door. I recieved a text at 10:00pm stating that the driver was at the door and I needed to come down and then another one followed stating that the order was being returned to the store. As this was occuring, I already was in the lobby and had been there for 20 minutes. At 10:20pm, I called back to Domino's Pizza and asked to speak with the Manager who seemed bother that I called asking about my dinner which was now a WHOLE hour beyond the initial time I was quoted that it would arrive. He stated that the driver had attempted to deliver the order again as well as that he had called the room phone and called my cell phone and nobody answered the phones. All untrues! My phone worked in the lobby where I was calling him at and the room phone never rang according to folks in the room waiting on dinner. Anyway, to move the conversation forward, I offered to go in and pick it up. He stated that they close at 10pm and that he would not send out another driver. To add insult to the injury, he stated that he had CANCELLED THE ORDER. I asked why he would do that and he stated that customers were out of luck if they didn't have a working phone that Domino's Pizza could commmnicate with the customer about the order. That statement seemed important enough that every potential customer should be told before they place a order. What do you think? Alot of this CONFUSION could have been resolved if he had offered better customer service. In the end, I told him that I would write a review and he said "DO WHAT YOU GOT TO DO". What a nasty attitude from a Manager. I will NEVER go there again and I hope that you will give some thought to where you spend your money. I’m looking at the tracker and the tracker shows that my pizza is ready at 12:08. At 12:42 I called the store because it’s still saying that it’s on the rack. They said that they only have one delivery driver and they couldn’t give me an ETA for the pizza. Since the store was right around the corner, I offered to drive there to pick it up. When I arrived, I’m at a long blonde haired fellow. I asked him whenever I got the pizza if I could be refunded for the tip and the delivery fee, which totaled about seven dollars. He said that he wasn’t able to because he would have to void out the entire check. I asked her if I could just have four or five bottles of water instead, but they only had one. At that point, I asked for Them to avoid out the check and just ring me for the order. Whenever I ask for a receipt of the voided transaction, he was unable to provide me a receipt. My original total was $20 which included the delivery fee and the tip…. Whenever he re-rang me my total was $21. Whenever I asked him how it was more expensive he was unable to provide me an answer just said that I must have used a deal. I did use an online promotion, but the store absolutely should have been able to reduce that cost. Whenever I brought up that the pizza had been on the rack since 1208 he told me that the tracker was inaccurate. He referenced the order That he had to re-ring for me, saying that it was being prepped when it clearly wasn’t…. Whenever I called him out on that being the order that I just placed, he didn’t have an answer. Long story short I had to go pick up my delivery Order myself… And I ended up paying more to do so. Whenever I got the pizza home, I can guarantee you that it absolutely has been sitting on that shelf since 1208. Go to one of the local pizza shops… This Domino’s Pizza taste...
Read moreLast night April 8th 2022 my friend and I went to pick up an order of 1 large pizza, 2 8 piece wings and 2 chicken salads. When we first entered for pick up we noticed the cashier was having a hard time with a customer that kept insinuating on every order being made belonging to her. The cashier was upset by this and when he asked for my friend name to get her order he yelled at the young lady telling her as you can see all these orders aren’t yours!! After we received our order we noticed there were only 1 dressing for both salads! My friend kindly asked for another one and the cashier got even more irritable and said “We normally only give 1” my friend explained that we had 2 salads and as she’s explaining he walks off without listening towards the back and return with another dressing slamming it on the counter. My friend asked how much to pay and he looked at her and had the nerve to say, just take it FAT! I have never seen such. To save the embarrassment we left and immediately called asking to speak to the manager, the manager was very rude! He only fussed about the dressing so we told him we would be making a complaint since he failed to address this verbal abuse and asked for his name and he hung up! I called back and a young lady answered the phone laughing, she put me on hold for 30 minutes came back to the phone only to hang up! I do not appreciate this and their customer service is disgusting! I will be making a complaint first thing on Monday morning with the franchise!
