Very disappointing first experience and won't be returning. Seated outdoors fairly quickly after putting names on list under 10 minutes. Once seated for the next 15 minutes we watched 3 waitresses walk by us asking the other patrons at tables all around us on each side and right next to us if they needed anything and clearing tables again right besides us. After 20 minutes two other patrons at neighboring tables asked us if we had been waited on. To that we replied nope not even brought water. I said don't say anything, I want to see how long this will take without our having to bring it to their attention. But one of the patrons just couldn't help herself and brought it to her waitresses attention, who came by and asked how long we'd been sitting and profusely apologized, stated she didn't know which waitress should have been covering our table and said she'd take care of us and mention to the manager. (Thank you Courtney-she was the only reason we did not leave) Within 5 minutes the waitress who I was guessing was our waitress all along because she served the table behind came out and said have y'all been helped and then turn and walked away when we said yes. From that point on Courtney served us never once did the manager ever come out and say I apologize how can I make this right that's not who we are but that's exactly who you are in every behavior of the waitresses is an example of management when our lukewarm food came out it was ok. Meanwhile the waitress who again I'm guessing was probably our waitress all along kept coming out then and asking if we needed anything I wasn't going to address her because she was no longer our waitress. If you are fortunate enough to have a job and represent the establishment as an employee but you have personal preferences or prejudices...you should leave it at the door of your own house and not bring it to the workplace! It was THAT OBVIOUS to us and even other patrons she didn't want...
Read moreWe have been going to Gulfstreamn for ten years. Today was a travesty. We only waited about 10 Minutes to get seated so that was fine. Once sat, our server was cold, short, and rude with us. We asked for a child lemonade and my 4 year old daughter took a sip and said “yuck mommy, this lemonade isn’t right.” I tasted it and it tasted like mold or sulfur and the carbonation in the machine seemed terribly off.
We told the server and I said something doesn’t seem right with the taste and the machine. Even the water tasted horrible! Like bad city water and was undrinkable. We asked her politely to remove them from the table and she just grabbed them, scoffed, and walked away with one and left the other. She coldly followed up with “nope it’s fine.” We noticed multiple Tables sending back their drinks with the same concern. Even after I tried a simple sprite, I could barely get it down. No manager or server addressed it and we were charged for the horrible drinks.
Food came out: one star. Cold bacon that had to have been out for hours and tasted OLD. the color was off too. Biscuits and gravy were cold and bland with no seasoning. My deluxe omelette was luke warm and the turkey and bacon inside tasted old and off. Breakfast potatoes were flavorless. Not to Mention all meals were basically thrown on the plate and served messy. Biscuit was good, that was it.
The server disappeared for a long time, no mention of refills, and quite honestly, we were so disappointed in the meal we didn’t even bother to say something based on her nonchalant attitude regarding the lemonade and water.
Usually this place is pretty solid but today, absolutely everything seemed off and we probably won’t be back. Looking forward to brunches opening next door.
I hope management and service takes customer concerns more seriously and the server who was clearly having an off day can work on being more present with...
Read moreI have always been a loyal customer here. When my son was 3 and 4 we ate here once a week. He still loves the wiki Stix even at the age of 10 but recently the quality of food and presentation is so poor I feel the need to post. I hope there is a greater issue other than tourist will pay ridiculous prices for below bar food because I am not a tourist and my sandwich looked nothing like it did 5 months ago. I used to really enjoy the turkey club. It's relatively easy to make and for 8 dollars (no side included) I would like it to look like I didnt make it myself. Five months ago you could barely see the spears. I decided then that was my new favorite (previously it was burger or Greek salad). Two months ago they forgot to put the turkey on the club. So I loaded back up the kids and went back without complaint because I love some of the ladies that work there. I went there yesterday, paid 35.00 for myself, a 10 yr old and a 3 yr old and this is what the 8.00 club w/o a side looked like. To the owner of Gulfstream who I have often spoke to and seen in the past wiping down tables and helping the staff out: you have lost my local business! I love supporting our town and I hate cooking three meals a day but I will no longer pay outrageous costs for something that is lower quality at a higher price. This sandwich (not club) is pathetic! I implore you to go back to your old ways because winter is coming! I also wanted onions and pickles and mayo and mustard but none...
