Seaside Shenanigans — Local services in Carolina Beach

I'm visiting from Massachusetts, at my daughter's and family's home. We stopped in on Friday the 28th of June for some birthday ice cream foe me! My daughter, son in law, and 2 grandchildren, very much enjoyed our ice cream, then shopped to pick out some gifts for their unbelievable hospitality. Absolutely love this shop! Soooo many wonderful items to chose from for all ages and likes!! Everyone picked out their items, then we headed home. We realized the next morning that the t shirts we bought needed to be a size up. My grandson and I went in to take care of business, and we met the nicest lady ever! I bought an Allen Design wall clock that was hanging on the wall behind the check out. After getting it home it wasn't keeping time. After looking closer the clock second hand had been ripped off the clock and sold to me like that. I spoke with the owner Jennifer the next day and sent her pictures of the broken one and a picture of one that wasn't. It was clear the one I was sold had been broken. She said she would call the company tomorrow and make it right. Seventeen days later Jennifer has yet to call me back and "Make it right." I think she thinks I broke it and I didnt. TERRIBLE customer service with not only being lied to, but having paid $63 for a clock that will NEVER run properly! I had to give 1 star...

Tonight we went in to the store, it was packed! And I will tell you it was cute but the customer service was not great! There was a glass with a lid and a straw- someone had the straw hanging out of one of the glasses. I wanted to buy one and of course the straw fell out and broke. The girl made me buy the cup without the straw. Fine, technically I broke the straw I will pay for the glass but, for real it was a straw! But what made me so mad was after I purchased it, the employee just threw it in a bag and never wrapped it!
