Worst Sushi Experience… Everything Was Microwaved!

I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars. I’ve never been to a sushi restaurant that relies so heavily on microwaves: and yes, they do it right out in the open!

The edamame came out soggy, wet, and completely flavorless, clearly microwaved right in front of us.

Even worse, the nigiri was cooked and rubbery… the salmon looked nothing like fresh salmon and tasted off, more like tilapia that had been reheated.

Every sushi roll tasted burnt and dirty, like the rice was cooked in a dirty dish. It was so bad I literally had to spit it out. I love sushi, but this was by far the WORST and unappetizing experience I’ve ever had.

If you’re looking for good sushi, go to Yamiko Sushi instead… they actually serve fresh, properly prepared food. Save yourself the disappointment and skip this place.

I'm so disappointed to eat in this place; not for the food but for the service. I was there today with my sister and my cousin expecting to have a great time, but our server Gretchen was so unprofessional and rude since we sat at the table. She was rushing us to place and order and even took the menu from my hand to mark what we wanted when I was reading it. She seemed to be in a bad mood even though the place wasn't crowded. When I asked for a split bills, she got upset and without mention the urgency that she had for us to make the payment. When we finally made the payment, she didn't give the receipt, and when we asked for it, she just said it was the one that she showed to us when we paid with the credit card. I personally believe she needs to be retrained on how to treat the customer. Because of her behavior, she didn't get a tip because no matter what, we didn't go to a place to be treated with rude behavior and nasty attitude, remember when you treat a client with courtesy and respect you...

Most people who visit this small strip-mall in the area mostly come for Krispy Kreme and doctors' appointments, but if you ever find yourself in the area you have gotta give this place a shot. Hard to spot these kinds of gems since on the outside they blend very well with the rest of the stores, but once you're inside you will be greeted by the kindest staff that you meet. On the menu there's a surprising amount of options for such a quaint place, I ordered the California rolls and my sister had the steak sushi, and while I am not particularly a fan of such I found myself stealing from her plate from how good it was. Came back with enough money to buy the relatively expensive Sushi Boat for a special occasion and was not disappointed. It's a HUGE boat with great variety and consistently good flavor!
