My husband and I celebrated our anniversary last night at the Bretton Arms. The staff was very friendly but for the price point there should have been more attention to details. For example empty glasses stayed on the table too long and waters weren’t filled always timely. The wine menu was extensive but overwhelming and hard to find the glasses of wine in the mix of the bottles. There was a complimentary amuse bouche. It was hot chocolate in a shot glass which really didn’t make sense or complement anything that we were eating. It was confusing to have hot chocolate in a small glass to start the meal. My husband and I split 3 courses. We started with the wild boar ravioli, the flavors were good but the meat was tough and it wasn’t really a ravioli at all. It was two slices of pasta on the top and bottom with a slow roasted wild boar dish in between. We waited over 25 minutes for the next course. Our second course was the scallops found on the main entree section. They were PERFECTLY cooked and fresh. The flavors were amazing and was by far the best dish of the night. We finished with venison which was not evenly cooked. There were many sections of the cut that were overcooked. The expectations for the restaurant was that this meal would be a fine dining experience with excellent food, but the details are expected for this to be accomplished and ultimately there were too many...
Read moreWe were staying at the Omni mount Washington. We have been to Bretton arms years ago and the food was amazing! This was 8 years ago we were up in the area. We just had to go back and enjoy a meal this year 2024. This time it was just plain awful. 3 stars is generous. We came and got a bottle of wine. It took 3 times for them to get the correct bottle of wine. The manager bragged I made the book of wine. He was borderline disrespectful. Acting like my husband didn’t know what he was talking about when referring to the wine. However he didn’t know what was in his book. It was like the service was serving their first table ever. I had asked if there was peanuts in one of our entrees as my son has a nut allergy(we told them about it ahead of time-thankfully not a severe life threatening allergy). He wound up having a reaction! She never got back to me. The dinner was borderline awful. Surf and turf. Don’t get it. We had much much better meals in the main dining room at the Omni mount Washington. Such a disappointment. We won’t be back. The quality and delicious food years ago was the only reason we came back in 2024. Don’t waste your money!!! I honestly do not know how this place will survive. It was so good...
Read moreMy name is shereen tate and my husband Christopher and I were dining together. From the moment we walked in to the Bretton Arms Dining Room we had a first class and fabulous experience. Lovely Sangeeta was our server and was phenomenal! The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the ambience of the restaurant was just so lovely! A complimentary app, bread and dessert were lovely little touches to an extraordinary dining experience. My birthday is tomorrow and I was treated with such generosity and kindness by all the staff! The chef, servers, everyone there, worked hard to make this a memorable evening and dining experience. Thank you very much! We were staying at the Omni resort and this by far was the best dining experience we had at the resort. Thank...
