First and foremost I have been coming here since I was 10 years old I am now 30. This was the first time I was ever appalled by the service. My husband and I came in at 9:00pm Saturday night- we live 45 mins away.There were two young men, one sitting down and the other one at the register no one else was sitting down at the tables. The young man at the front said they were only taking to go orders. I have been there more than a handful of times where my family and I have gone in at 9:30PM and been taken care of no problems. I told the young man that and he literally looked at me dumb founded with no appropriate response- nothing. I looked at my husband and told him “you know what nevermind.” And we walked out. I’m sad to say after so many years of referrals and money spent there we will never be back.I love their fried oyster/combo basket but I won’t spend my money where there is no care in customer service. This younger generation doesn’t care and I know it’s a family owned restaurant which was so surprising to me that he didn’t care of losing a customer. No where on the website or sign posted on the front windows does it say that they only take to go orders within the last hour of closing. If that were the case I would have no room to talk but because of the lack of communication from the establishment we will not be back. I have told people about this place because my 1st experience with the calamari and boiled shrimp was amazing!!! The next few times got a little bad but I gave them a pass...However, today I cannot!!! 1st of all, it is the owner, I was told by the lady at the counter, that is taking orders over the phone and preparing the food. We placed our order over the phone. The man was rude,he had an attitude as we gave him our order.I asked, "how much the total was".He said, "I have people in line I do not have time to give that.I had to ask did he need my name for the order because he was getting ready to hang up the phone.Also, he does not know his prices...He was charging 19.95 for the boiled shrimp but on the menu it is 13.95. The order was a total wss over 80 dollars.....2 calamari's ($5.95) ;(8.95)salad; catfish Po boy (10.95); a shrimp basket ($11.95); 2 boiled shrimp ($13.95), which still has shrimp waste/bacteria in them,they still had the shell on them and the one I bit into tasted AWFUL!!!! If any resturant is getting business during this Covid Pandemic they should be very grateful... WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTURANT TO ANYONE...STAY AWAY...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

The employee who helped me was very kind and answered my questions. I ordered a catfish and shrimp po boy. While I was waiting I asked him about he soft shell crab. I appreciated his honesty when he said he hadn’t had it yet but customers seemed to really like it. When I received my meal he said he would be bringing me a crab to try. The po boy was pretty good; although it was different to ones I’m used to. This one came with onions, tomatoes, lettuce and tartar sauce. No remoulade; in fact none in the restaurant. There was a nice selection of hot sauces on the table as well as slap ya mama. The employee who was thin with dark hair to his shoulders I think with glasses to. I wish I’d asked his name to praise him here. He brought me the crab and the batter seemed different than the po boy seafood. The batter kind of reminded me of garlic parmesan chicken wings lol. My first bite was an explosion of flavor and juice in my mouth. Absolutely delicious and I devoured it quickly. I will definitely return for more crab and to try other menu items.
