First time compelled to ever post a review for boba tea and I'm a boba addict! Haha! Tonight, my SO and I went out after a long week of working and wanted something sweet. We were supposed to go to the one next door but I was impressed by how the worker was at the front just standing in front of the register attentive and not on her phone. (I have left many places without ordering because no one cared to greet and would just huddle in the back chatting or being on their phone.) My curiosity took over and I asked if we could go to Mochinut instead. Yeah, it's just a drink, it ain't that serious but I work in the service industry and it's rare to find someone as neat, attentive, polite and hardworking as this worker. Honestly, it's rare. The price was a little bit more than most boba places but then I saw the patience of how she carefully measured, stirred the ube before pouring it, leaving no mess. It's in a cute little clear can! And then after sealing it, she checked to see if there's leaks! 😂 I was so used to seeing my boba tea nonchalantly sliding on the counter and announced before the worker focus on something else that it took me by surprise. 😂I'm very attentive to my own work and clients so seeing that, I excitedly pointed it out to my SO whose eyes got bright and impressed, too. All I want to say that made it memorable for me and I appreciate that. Over a hundred bobas and this one made me remember her. I wish her success wherever she goes, man. And yes, the Viet coffee actually tastes legit. Perfect bitter and sweet...
Read moreI would’ve given zero stars if I could. The young lady that was taking my order was not listening and I kept having to repeat myself. I asked for a half & half hot dog and she kept saying that they don’t have that. She apparently thought I was asking for something else after I physically had to point it out on the menu, indicating that she was hearing words come out of my mouth, but not listening well enough to understand what those clear words were. She did not greet us and she had a very nonchalant demeanor. In addition to that, the hotdog was so greasy that we tossed them in the trash after a bite or two. They also gave us the wrong donut in the box. If they didn’t have the donut we asked for, we would’ve understood. However, they did not communicate that to us at all. So as far as I’m concerned, they simply put the wrong one in. It also came with a piece of hair in it that we didn’t ask for, either. The churro donut that we didn’t order did not come with the syrup drizzled on it as it’s supposed to. Admittedly, I did not let them know that they messed it up because I was just done after the poor service, gross hot dog, and seeing that hair. Usually I give places like this a second try because at least the donuts were tasty and the restaurant was clean. But with the service we received, it’s simply not...
Read moreStopped in here last night after my niece told me I had to try these! Unfortunately, we had just eaten, so although we bought a box of six, we found it very hard to eat more than a bite of each. So my tasting experience was a little lacking. I will say they weren't the 'chewy' I was anticipating, as she had said. They had more body to them than a doughnut, since they are made with a rice flour, which creates a more dense bite. But it definitely isn't like a bagel, which is what I was afraid it would be like. I can't say which one I enjoyed the most - don't just get one, get several. And we got so lucky, they had just made a fresh batch when we arrived! The staff is so super friendly & masks ARE required, so just put it on. Super clean place. Definitely will go back! FYI - this place gets crowded on a Saturday night,...
