I have been going to Cheng's for year and always loved the food. We get it 1-2 times a month depending on how we are feeling. Went there about a month ago and noticed the food tasted a little different and thought maybe they were having an off day and while I was there I also noticed some new people in there.
Fast forward to today, ordered the same thing we always get. Chicken and mushrooms only and General TSO chicken with two sides of brow sauce. We get it home and as soon as I opened it up I could smell that it was not the same.
The chicken was very garlicy and the brown sause was very gingery.
I called the store and the lady said Chengs was under new ownership and they changed the recipes.

Hot &Sour soup was pretty good, ranks in the upper half of what I've had. 7/10 Steamed Dumplings were very good. We both enjoyed them be much. Give these a 9/10 Egg roll was good, nice size, packed full. 7/10 MooGooGiaPan was just OK, and the fried rice had ZERO indicator that it ever saw a hot wok or flat top. Would give it a 7/10 but the fried rice dropped it to a 5/10. Wife had steamed shrimp and veggies. It would have been hard to mess up.
