Italian Villa Carrollton — Restaurant in Carrollton

We came in for their lunch special on a Saturday when Heather was working. I wear a headscarf and it was evident she didn’t like the fact we are Muslim. When we came in she wanted to gave us the regular menu when I told her we are here for the lunch special. It was only then she gave it to me. She gave us water and brought the bread. I sat there waiting for the salad that is included and she wasn’t planning on bringing it for us. I go up to her to ask her about it, she was texting and says “oh, what dressing would you like.” No sorry no nothing. Then shortly after she brought us the food she asked us how it tasted and if we wanted the check. Didn’t wait for us to enjoy it just immediately indicating she wanted us out of there.

Mind you while we were eating, two older white ladies come in, and she brings them water with lemons and the regular and lunch menus. She tells them about all of their salad options and what they can mix and match.

When we were leaving and ready to pay, she charged us for the drinks, which are included in the lunch special. We told her this and she removed it from the receipt. I told her so other people get lemons in their water, a salad, and good treatment and we get charged for drinks that are included in our meal.” To this she just told me husband to sign the receipt…no care whatsoever. Not even trying to hide her discrimination.

Worst customer service experience ever, if you aren’t...

When first entered restaurant there was no music playing. When I mentioned this to the server he just replied with oh yeah. Our entire meal we sat there listening to the phone ring and hearing Togo orders be taken. Upon being seated the waiter dropped off bread for the table. It tasted like toasted stale bread. Ordered calamari as an appetizer, could not finish it because it was hard and chewy. When the waiter took our order he mentioned that we ould receive side salads and asked what type of dressing we would like. We replied ranch. Our side salads never came. I ordered the clam linguine with white sauce. It was pretty good. Wanted to order dessert but was so fed up with listening to the answer machine and other guests chewing, so I opted to leave. After 10 minutes of not receiving my check. I look over to see the server texting on his phone. My party gets up from the table to ask for our check. He replies oh yeah sorry, I had to deal with this lady. Right as he was about to print the check, the phone rings and he answers it and spends an additional 3 minutes trying to correct and Togo order that was messed up. Extremely irritated with this experience, we finally paid and left. This was one of the worse dining experiences I've had in...

Stopped in for a dinner with the wife and kid. When we were sat at the table, they just walked away without saying anything. Ok no big deal. Looking around, it looked like it was being run by 14 year olds. Nothing against kids but it seemed like there was lack of leadership and organization. After about 5 minutes, the server came up and asked what we would like to drink, we ordered waters and a soda. They came back, put them on the table and left without a word. The glasses were dirty to the point of having chunks of food floating in them. We were going to ask for new drinks when they came to take our order. After waiting another 5 minutes, another server was walking past and we thought that we would be able to order and get the cups switched out. Instead they walked quickly by and threw down cold garlic bread sticks without a word. Not only were they not busy, there were other servers standing around. So after 20 very sub par minutes we decided to leave as this was supposed to be a nice family dinner at a well reviewed local restaurant. As a former server and restaurant worker myself I know what it takes to provide a satisfactory level of service. Unfortunately they could not provide it and as such we will not be...
