This place has changed the new owners wife is a joke so rude and will never go back again. I have been eating here for over 20 years since 8years old every week for that long. And was told to never come back after not leaving a tip because of bad service from the owners wife. Here excuse was that she was busy she had 4 tables and 2 tops each to go orders I just felt that that was very unacceptable being the fact that she was not only the owner but the owners wife and that's not how you treat a customer that has been coming there for over 20 years. She had the order wrong we had ordered. A salad. And a burger with fries. And we she brought the food out she brought the burger with no fries and no salad my daughter had a burger with fries but no salad. So i asked where are my fries and she said i will be right back with your salad so i then told her thats ok to just cancel the salad the we wanted the salad before the burger not the burger then the salad. So me and my daughter ate the burger and she ate her fries as i waited for mine as the owner was telling the cook he wanted fries and a salad and the burger. I then got my fries then waited for bill to have the bill wrong i told the lady to change me for what i had ate. She got upset and grab the calculator and proceeded to try to sit down with me and my daughter to calculate the total in front of me I told her she was being rude and please get up for my table that i did not need her to explain with a calculator and that she could calculate it up behind her counter. I paid my bill and did not leave a tip i put a sad face and service meaning sad service. As I want to get in my car she followed me and my daughter outside and proceeded to say that she is the owners wife and that she was so upset that she was sorry for the bad service that she gave us and that she was busy that she had four diff tables to people per table and she wanted to offer me a pie I thought she was being sarcastic after how she was treating me in the first place the whole time when eating and the way she was being unprofessional so I declined and that's when she was upset and told me to never come back again and I explained her that all I wanted was better service and for my order to be right and food to come out on time like a salad before your meal not after a meal and that I have been coming here for over 20 years is she told me well don't worry about coming here ever again. Sad service they wont get another dollar from my family friends or co workers. I hope you go out of business soon. Wife or no wife owner or no owner you dont treat your customers that way not one that has been coming there the past 20 years every week once a week do the math. Read moreWe went for lunch on a Sunday three weeks ago. The place was not overly busy so we decided to stay for lunch. The waitress finally came over to wait on us. We got our order turned in and drinks delivered to our table. We waited and waited and waited for our order. Almost 30 minutes later our waitress came over to inform us that it was going to take almost 30 minutes longer on our order because there were several big To Go orders that were taking the full staff to prepare. We were not the only tables by this time all waiting for our food orders. We did inform the waitress that my husband takes medication and needs to eat within 15 to 20 minutes of ordering. She did not even seem to care at first but finally did go tell someone in the kitchen and finally after 50 minutes of waiting our food arrived at our table. All food was just okay. We ate quickly and finally got our check to pay. My husband told the waitress to please tell her boss we would not be back due to this being the third time of very poor service and food quality. We have visited four other cafes in the Lewisville Carrollton area and have never had such poor service at any of them. The lack of customer service and putting your dine in customers way behind To Go orders is unthinkable and so very poor business practices. A business should be able to handle dine in orders in a timely manner and not have all staff working on To Go orders and ignoring your dine in customers and making them wait for almost an hour to get food that truthfully only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to prepare and serve. Five tables with four or five people all left without receiving their order that day. So please take note that many of us residents of Carrollton will never go back to your business due to poor customer service. Go somewhere else to eat on Saturdays or Sundays if you want good customer service and caring service for dine in customers. We used to love Mom's Cafe and ate here at least once a week for many years but things have really changed in the past...
Read moreThis is a review from a experience in 2017. Me and my grandmother use to be a regular customer, we knew the staff and went almost every other week to eat here for lunch.
We went in one day like we usually do, got us a table and sat down. It was my brother,my grandma, my dad and me. Before we could even order a drink 1 of the main ladys there ( Im assuming.) Came to our table very angry and said the last time we were there we didn't pay our tab. We only left a tip.
(Clearly a big mistake/misunderstanding. Mind you I said we are regulars and they always see us. So how could we intentionally not pay our bill and still come back to dine. ** )
She acted like we did it on purpose and said we made the waitress cry and she had to pay out of pocket for it. So before they would even serve us drinks she demanded we pay now. not friendly at all and she knows we are always there. Didn't even let us order a meal and pay the total at the end. Very rude and embarrassing to us to treat us that way at the restaurant. We ended up just paying the past due bill and left. Never went back there again felt very unfair to us. Only gave couple stars because the food is Ok.
