Quinlan's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Carrollton

Every neighorhood needs a good dive bar to have a cheap drink and not worry about putting on heirs for the locals. Quinlan's is the very definition of a dive bar and it excels by staying true to itself. Same faces every night, bartender knows what everyone drinks, if its your first visit locals will welcome you in. Great prices on most drinks and food is very reasonable if not gourmet quality. People watching is great here. I liken it to the Star Wars Cantina bar scene with creatures from all over the galaxy. Some truly horrible karaoke but isn't that how it should be. They have live music that is very good on occasion. If you like big girls you will find them here and they are ready to mingle. Went in for lunch at 1:00 today. It wasn't full and it appeared everyone else had already been served. A server came to my table, right away, and I asked for a drink and a menu. He rudely said "The menu's on the wall." I'd never been there, so I didn't realize that when I asked for a menu. He brought my drink but didn't stop to take my food order. I then sat there, for over 20 minutes, without anyone ever coming to take my order. I made eye contact, with the server several times, and he walked by, to serve others several times. Today I went in to get my usual and tap out. As I always do so that I don’t forget my card. Almost every bartender knows this is my normal. Today a gentleman behind the bar refused to make me a drink because he said that tapping out takes to much time. Remind you he had no orders to make at the time. I found out he is the owner. If tapping out isn’t a choice then why ask the customer if they want to tap out. I’m so perplexed! I come to this establishment at least 3x a week. What is the issue about tapping out.
