As part of the local google guide commentator, I found the food to be a 5 stars but the place and their staffing I’d give a 3/5.. mainly because of my first time there. So as I come I am the first and only customer that waited for them to open back up at 4:30pm. I want to mention this is my first time trying Indian food. I ordered an entree called Spicy Village SPL fish, some butter naan, rice and a mango lassi(drink). Order was placed 4:38pm I mentioned this was my first time in any Indian restaurant and my first time here(there). As I was sat down there was someone sweeping up the floor and I thought they didn’t get here early enough to do that, hmm? My food came out at 4:52pm which I thought great! Now as I’m chowing down on my food which is at a medium level of spice, I look for something to help my palette and I realized my drink isn’t here yet. I ask for my drink and the person said they are getting it ready. Come to find out in a bit, their machine was not working. Then they asked if I wanted a soft drink instead and I politely told them no. And then told me that “there is water” that I could have gotten myself, if that’s the case why hadn’t they told me from the beginning they have complimentary water self served. So I ducted a star right then. I also saw there was a self serve for there masala tea, and I thought great, so I got my self one cup. As I finished my meal I thought was good, and then I drank the rest of my tea, there were bits of grinds at the bottom of my tea, I then go to the register and pay as I then ask to pay, I’d have to wait til the other staff member to do my transaction because the drink had to be taken off, I’m guessing he could only do it. I liked the meal, just the environment is not quite my cup of tea ironically.

Food quality, flavor, service, and value were all excellent. I highly recommend Spicy Village if you’re craving Indian food! Order at the counter. If you’re dining in, grab a seat, and they’ll bring the food to you. Pay at the counter after dining. There are (3) spicy levels: mild, medium, & spicy. Of you like spicy, go for the spicy. It’s not too intense. Spicy Village Special Mutton Kurma- so good. The mutton was so tender and fresh. The sauce was rich and full of spice and flavor. And there was a good serving of meat relative to bone. We got garlic naan instead of the basmati rice. The nana was fresh, buttery, and full of garlic aromatics and taste. Great for mopping up the sauce Boneless Chicken Biryani- wow. I was not expecting the chicken to be fried, but it was a pleasant surprise. This dish was full of flavor. Squeeze the lime over it, and mix up the bowl. It was a massive serving too. It felt like 2lbs lol and we definitely had leftovers. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the chicken was exceptional! Full of flavor and still tender. Gulab Jamun- this was a nice sweet treat to end the meal. Dough tasted fresh. Overall, this is such a great bang for your buck based on the quality of food they’re serving. We like to keep exploring new places, but this is definitely in our “must go back” list.

I am very sad to put this review, I love their food however this was the issue I never expected and if happened cannot be left aside, also I know being carry out they were lucky enough to get away with this, If this was Dine-in just imagine. So my Dad was having dinner and suddenly we got a small piece of Glass in his bite, I called the restaurant and all he said was a regular "Sorry" My dad started getting toothaches, after 2 days it went worst so I went to the restaurant and this guy said he is cousin of the owner, I was being so nice where I understand such mistakes, so I even told him to come out of the restaurant so we can talk and explain it to him and no other customers listen to this, all he said again was sorry and saying they do not used any glass material, which was not easy for me to believe since a restaurant can easily have it. He asked me to send him the pic which I have attached and also sent it him, been over a week no common etiquette of asking how is my dad now and what plan o action they took to avoid this, We had 3 kids at that time with us having dinner, just imagine if this would be in some kids mouth. Thinking this makes scary. This is total unacceptable
