I’ve dined in AND gotten takeout chicken from here COUNTLESS times - I would shout from all the rooftops that this place has the best Korean fried chicken in DFW! I’ve converted every person I know who knows Korean fried chicken, and I’ve put people who don’t know korean fried chicken on this place and EVERYONE loves it here and would go again. Hell, they’ve gone without me sometimes and I get jealous every time they do.

Yet, I’ve also never taken a photo of their chicken. I get distracted when it’s placed in front of me and then I remember when it’s all gone…their batter AND their sauces are soooo good y’all TRUST. You can get your chicken classic “fried” or “crispy”. I prefer to get mine crispy, ESPECIALLY ON WINGS, instead of fried - the batter is still light and super crispy, despite being the thicker batter of the two. It especially hits hard when you have it fresh and I think the sauce being on the thinner side helps bring out the crispy texture too. The sauce is thinner here than at other Korean fried chicken places, but it’s still super flavorful - my favorite sauces are the “soy garlic” and the “korean spicy”. I’ve tried all of their sauces lol, but I prefer the “korean spicy” over the “sweet & spicy” and the “sweet korean” because the “korean spicy” has a very pronounced flavor to it.

I actually think their strongest chicken items are just the regular fried chicken with any of the sauces. The other fried chicken dishes are good too (their pa dak is really good if you love green onion chicken!!), but it still doesn’t compare to their classic fried chicken menu IMO. I tried the popular pok tan dish they have, but to me I think it’s their weakest chicken dish - I would definitely try any of their regular sauced fried chicken, before basing your opinion on the pok tan!

I also like getting take out from here BUT I will say, their sauced chicken gets un-crispy kind of fast on the delivery route, so I recommend getting it un-sauced with the sauces on the side if you get take out!

I feel like I just wrote an essay, but I’ll finish off with the hae mool stir fried noodle dish I just tried the other day. I usually just go for a bunch of the chicken, but my friend and I were curious this time. This noodle dish…was also freaking delicious 😭 how is that even a thing, this is a chicken place! The noodles were covered in perfectly seasoned, savory seafood flavor - it was sooo good, we devoured this in seconds. Someone is COOKING WITH THEIR SOUL back there I swear to god.

I haven’t tried their raw marinated crab (they have a whole menu for raw marinated crab now?!), but based off this dish, it would definitely be delicious, I have to go try it sometime, but I’d have to physically pull myself away from getting the chicken.

I said that was the last thing, but I forgot, the drinks are good too. I recommend the Snow Cloud makgeolli cocktails - they’re light and yummy but it’s perfect for me because I’m a severe lightweight lol.

I love this place so much, please...

An excellent fried chicken watering hole that's worth trying. The place, while bustling, is surprisingly small inside. It has sort of a small sports bar feel to it, except with K-pop music blaring. It would be a perfect place for unwinding after a day of work--fried chicken and cold beer in hand.

The fried chicken here is phenomenal; seasoned well and juicy inside. Even without any sauce on it, it's obvious that it would taste terrific. The chicken portions are massive. We got a whole chicken for 2 people that would have easily filled up 3-4 people. The whole order of chicken also comes with fries, which are crispy and fresh. The radish cubes that perfectly accompany the chicken have a nice tart punch to them that cuts through the richness of the fried chicken. We got half the chicken with sweet and spicy sauce and half with soy garlic The sweet and spicy sauce is tasty, though perhaps more sweet than spicy. If one prefers sweeter spicy sauce, then its the perfect glaze. The soy garlic sauce wonderful as well. Here, there's perhaps a bit more garlic flavor to it than the soy garlic at other Korean Fried Chicken establishments.

The fact that there are customizable chicken batter and sauce options, i.e. on the side or coating the chicken, is greatly unique. I don't think I've seen such levels at any other Korean Fried Chicken joint. One note though: if you get the chivago batter, it would be advisable to get the sauce on the side. We got it with the sweet and spicy sauce, and the exterior ended up being soggy. Still though, the flavor of the batter and sauce were fantastic. It seems like the chivago batter is just a lot more sparsely coated than the other batter options they have available, so the sauce greatly diminishes the crispiness of the chicken. I'm hoping to try the coated sauce with crispy batter next time to see if that ameliorates the issue.

The snow cloud drinks (which were half off as an opening special when we went) were a nice touch, if a bit gimmicky. It keeps the beer nice and cold, so that by itself serves some good use. Paired with a cheap Korean lager, some ice keeping the drink cold really isn't negative. I'd imagine the soft drink snow cloud beverages would be even better than the beers--which I'll have to try next time.

It was pretty easy to tell that the place is understaffed at the moment. The servers there all have a hurried pace trying to get everything to all of the tables. Going while it's busy (like we did) means that some hiccups will occur. For example, they forgot an entire order of special Chivago fries. However, the staff is really friendly, and will do everything to make sure you leave satisfied. They ended up giving us a refund on the Chivago fries, so it wasn't a big deal. Even with the servers spread thin, you can expect incredibly affable and friendly...

We had such a disappointing experience. We’ve been here at least 5 times, but yesterday was our last day to go. So we went and ate there on 4/19 2pm-4pm. As soon as we got there was only 2 or 3 tables with people eating. We sat at our table waiting for sever to come and ask if we wanted anything to drink for about 15-20min. Finally they came and we ordered a cold snow beer. I felt uncomfortable but we came there to have a good time since it was one of our favorite restaurants. So another 20 min go by and my husband still didn’t get his beer, so i finally ask can y’all bring his beer and can we order now. We ordered 1 side dish and 2 chicken plates. they finally brought his beer and it was warm. It's cold snow beer but the top ice part was cold and the beer was warm. I never got a warm beer before at any restaurant before. So we didn’t say anything and just mixed the beer with ice so we drank it and tried to have a good time. After we ate food, we asked the girl server for to go box and more chicken sauce. But she was too busy trying to look pretty so she didn't come. Just stood behind the bar. It’s a restaurant but she serves at lengthways with her hair almost in the food without tying them up and her hair undone. So we just kept patiently waiting but she didn't come so we asked the guy server to get a to go box again and more chicken sauce. Cause he was wiping dishes at the bar. And he said well if you want some more sauce it's extra charge. We said him but that girl server didn't mention it? And he said well you still need to pay if you want more so we said then no sauce just a to-go. Finally, we got a Togo box but it was a small one so I asked him if could I get more bigger one. But you know what did he do? He said “NO, IT’S ENOUGH TO FIT HERE” and he grabbed my food from our plate to the Togo box and slammed it on the empty plate with sauce all over it. So now my togo box was covered with sauce. Wow, I never experienced that bad in the restaurant at all. All i asked for was a bigger togo box cause i didn’t want to mix my food together. Also it's not his decision to decide for me if i want a big or small togo box for my food. But no as soon as i ask for a bigger one he goes and slams my food into the small togo box. We saw a few people show up and leave because they kept waiting to order a drink and the server didn't go there. Were they busy? NO We loved their food and it was our favorite chicken place. But NO MORE. We wont go back until something changes. It was a very disappointing experience and the service will ruin a good restaurant if this continues. I highly recommend to the owner hire better servers. On 4/19 2pm-4pm one girl and guy server were terrible. They need...

I went to Dallas, Texas on a business trip, and I was looking for a restaurant to meet up with a friend who lives there. Most restaurants are open until 10pm, so in search of a restaurant that is open until late, we went to Yorienn Korean Fried Chicken & Yori Shop here in Carrollton, Texas. The atmosohere of the restaurant was very distracting. The music in the store was too loud, so I asked the server for a favor and we moved to the quieter seat, but still the loud music was very disturbing to the conversation with my friend. 😔 The representative menu of this restaurant is Korean Fried Chicken, but the taste is neither excellent nor terrible, just average. Kimchi Cheese Fries which I ordered with the recommendation of an employee, I took a picture of it, but didn t post it because I couldn’t get a good picture of it. Anyway, Kimchi Cheese Fries was very experimental food, and the taste is what to say… hmmm I just applaud the experimental spirit of food. 👏👏👏 The most disappointing thing is that despite it as a korean Fried Chicken restaurant, they do not sell draft beer. Isn't it basic to sell drat beer at a restaurant as a Korean Fried Chicken and beer Restaurant? Since they don't sell draft beer, we ordered Snow Cloud Beer, which is the closest shape to draft beer. Snow Cloud Beer is a beer that puts shaved ice on top after putting bottle beer in a draft beer glass. If Yorien Korean Fried Chicken & Yori Shop improves its food menu and sells draft beer, it will likely be a more popular restaurant. Hopefully I could get draft beer, next time I visit this restaurant.

CHIVAGO FRIED CHICKEN || CARROLLTON 🦴 •••• 🍒 WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: Korean fried chicken, Korean street food style place, great for drinking and eating with a big group. 🍒WHAT WE ORDERED: • Boneless, Fried, Sweet Korean Fried Chicken (the 3 descriptors is completely customizable!) • Tteokbokki w/ mozzarella 🍒 PRICE: ~$35 + tip 🍒 THE VIBE: not really a vibe, it’s kind of small inside but it’s extremely packed! The food is worth it despite the vibes. 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes. •••• Overall Rating:10 - I have been wanting to try this place after seeing @tien.eats post this awhile back and I was not disappointed! - I’ve been converted into a boneless chicken type of girly and I am not mad about it. The sweet Korean sauce was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. The crunch was immaculate and overall would highly recommend this dish. I feel like it would taste so good with rice too. - We did get the Korean rice cakes, Tteokbokki, and I personally loved this dish but I knew @rahafalnoubani thought the rice cakes were too chewy. Personally, I loved how chewy and fat the rice cakes were so to each their own! The cheese was melted on kind of weird but overall I liked this rice cake dish. - At the end they offered us a free dessert which is pictured in the last slide and it was so yummy! We didn’t get a chance to ask what flavor it was but it was like a snow cone but way fluffier. I liked it a lot! - Definitely recommend this place and I will be back!
