I had about two to three appointments with Dr. Song for severe acne and a cyst. She is a very kind doctor, and her staff was always friendly and professional. However, I felt that the treatment approach wasn’t very personalized to my case. I was prescribed topical medications and later spironolactone, but I was never referred to a hormonal specialist to confirm if my acne might be hormone-related. I also mentioned my rosacea, but I didn’t receive much guidance on how to manage it. One of my biggest concerns was the lack of follow-up. When the initial treatments weren’t effective, instead of working with me to explore further options, I was advised by her staff to seek care elsewhere due to my frequent work travel. Additionally, while I was not considered for Accutane, my cousin was placed on it right away, which felt inconsistent and somewhat frustrating, especially since Accutane often requires strict protocols for women. Ultimately, I decided to look for another dermatologist after not seeing improvement. It actually took me four different dermatologists before I finally found one—at Metroplex Dermatology—who really listened, explored multiple options beyond the standard antibiotics and topicals, and worked with me until I saw results. In summary, Dr. Song is compassionate, and the staff is kind, but if you’re struggling with severe or persistent acne, I would recommend finding a dermatologist who is willing to follow up more closely and adjust treatments as needed especially since each visit was pretty pricey and not very helpful. For reference I added a picture of my skin before and after I was put on Accutane by a doctor that was willing to hear my concerns.

Dr song is fantastic. I went in for a consultation for a bump in my arm. She said it was a lymphoma and there was a 50/50 chance she could remove but didn’t make any guarantees. I went in for the procedure and it was a total success. At my follow up I needed antibiotics for a week and she provided. Her entire office team is very professional and hard working. Would highly recommend Dr song!

I am very please with this doctor and staff. I have been to four dermatologist over several years prior to seeing her. All were unable to help my situation and I have lived with my problems for years causing low self esteem and depression. She did a biopsy to start and sent to lab. Once results were back she started treatments. It took three visits over 6 weeks and I am a new person. When a person looks at me now they see me and not the flaws in my face. I am very happy for a doctor who knows what they are doing. I felt like one of the other doctors knew but, didn't have the skills to make the corrections and even discouraged me from getting it done. In other words he told me to live with my situation because if he tried to correct it, it could me worst.

Thank God for a good doctor! A confident doctor! a great staff!

I've had several visits now and she is still amazing. I can't believe the work she's done on my face already. It's truly amazing. When my face is complete we will start on my back.

Just went back yesterday 8/5/24 and had the same great service. I tell everyone...

Everyone, from the front desk, the nurse, and Dr. Song, is friendly and professional. The general atmosphere is relaxed and soothing. I didn’t get my nurse’s name—she was nice and thorough with the intake. I really like how she explained why she was taking pictures of me (for patient identification and to track progress).

Dr. Song was also very thorough and knowledgeable. She explained the diagnosis and treatment options, and she answered my questions and concerns.

Also, I really appreciate the office takes covid very seriously. Everyone wore their mask correctly. As a patient, I had to fill out a form (at the beginning of the visit) regarding covid (vax status, exposures, etc). I really appreciate businesses that take the health and welfare of their staff as well as their customers/clients seriously.

Overall a great experience—110% would...
