I will share this as a five star because he was honest. I too work in food service during this pandemic, during civil unrest, during an election that won’t end, and I too know what it feels like. I did apologize for coming through late, and I did make the mistake of asking if they were still open, even if I knew they were for 10 min more. And yet I appreciated his honesty to tell me that the question of whether they “were open or not” was not in good taste. I get the frustration. I feel it too when folks come in late for me, wanting nothing more than a departure from the depravity in the real word by eating something in a safe environment that helps them remember what normal feels like. I’m leaving this comment as an example to the “Karen’s, Becky’s, and Susan’s” I have to deal with on the daily for two essential jobs I work. We work because we care, and I empathized with this employee for that. But the minute you become ungrateful or put out, that’s when we lose our patience. We are service workers who put our literal lives on the line so YOU can feel normal in a world less than that and may never see again. Get this straight though, this is NOT a one star, it’s a five, because he reminded me that there is no excuse for poor decorum from one HUMAN to another in this new world and I want to say thank you for the guts to remind me. To the “Beckys , Karen’s, and Susan’s “ , don’t lose your cool because we didn’t move fast enough or do it right, we are as human as you are but we are under so much more stress than you when we have to satisfy your astronomical needs sometimes compiled with COVID protocols, but instead, you lash out due to your lack of understanding and patience. Again, we are just as human as you are and maybe might be under the same, if not more stress than you are. Just be kind and humble and we’ll get it done as humanly fast and correctly as possible. In conclusion, I paid for my order as I humbly apologized and immediately understood, got my food and went home to type this out so that maybe. . . . I have given up on most fast food restaurants b/c it’s hard to find franchises these days that do FTO’s (Fresh to Order)! I like Wendy’s, but I have had disappointing experiences at other locations (not all locations are bad) so I will be Grateful/do my part to highlight the ones that deserve the spot light for great work done! I work really hard for my money as I am sure all of you do, I will not give a fast food place my repeated business if they lack in giving good food service. Read moreThis Wendy's location is the best! I do not recall the Spanish mgrs name but him and his crew are outstanding! I believe the guys name in drive-thru is Rolen (if I’m not mistaken) but he always makes sure we get our order with a smile and a thank-you. He also makes sure we get all the condiments that we ask for, as well. A BIG SHOUT OUT going to this mgr., for doing a great job with his crew! They are all great at customer service. Let me UPDATE this post on a visit we just had through drive-thru a bit ago. LADY mgr with a terrible crew. Young lady at the drive thru had a bad attitude like we were a burden to her. There was another young lady that was next to her once we got to the 2nd window. Not sure who was the one that was trying to take our order, considering the first window was closed.
