CAVA — Restaurant in Carson

Great food, but I have had mixed experiences with their service. Their manager was great when helping me with an issue in a previous transaction, but they need to be more consistent with their servings. Multiple times now my wife and I have ordered the same items and gotten completely different amounts. They then refused to add a little more to mine or my wife's when I pointed out the difference. They don't seem to like being asked to add a little more of the items and just rush to get you through. Even the sides at the end which are "unlimited". Multiple times they have closed my bow without me being done ordering the sides I wanted. Today was especially ridiculous. My wife and I always order spinach and rice as the base then 3 of the red pepper hummus and the regular chicken. They served both bows very little rice, mine especially. We asked for a little more rice and were told we would have to pay extra for that. Even when I just asked for them to even the amount between the bows. The server than proceeded to do the same with the chicken. My bow was clearly smaller by the end of that and they refused to add any more. When getting the sides the now other server proceeded to close my bowl without giving me the lettuce I asked for and giving a quarter of a spray of the garlic sauce. Barely covering a quarter of the bow. My wife than asked for a side of the sauce since they didn't give enough and they refused to give it. We have been coming to this location for months now, and that has to be the worst...

Tried this place on a friend's recommendation (not this particular location) and after three visits, I won't be back. They serve skimpy portions, no matter how you order. First time, I got a steak and harissa bowl, mobile order pick-up. I immediately noticed how sparse the bowl was, so I took a picture and asked my friend did they normally look this way and she laughed. Said I should've gone with the build-your-own option, so I figured maybe that's why it was so few ingredients. Next time, I tried the build your own (also mobile order, because the line is always long) and again, the ingredients didn't even reach the line on the bowl. The last time I went was just out of convenience, and this time I waited in line and picked my ingredients. When I saw the finished product, again, just as skimpy and stingy with ingredients as the first two times. For comparison, I finally tried a different location and the difference was night and day. I finally got a full bowl and didn't feel ripped off. Definitely avoid the Carson location. They really need...

I am a HUGE Cava lover, I rave about it to all my friends and family. Frequent the El Segundo location at LEAST once a week because it's down the street from my job. I was SO stoked that a new location was opening closer to my house, threatening my fiance for months that when it opens, I'll be there several time a week 😂 WELP...finally went to his location the day after it opened and my experience was so poor!!

First, they didn't even greet or acknowledge that we walked in (it wasn't busy at all), Second, the portions were SMALL...I had to keep asking the girl to give me more. She literally gave me 1/4 of a tsp each time...what are you doing??? It didn't even fill the serving spoon!! I asked her 3times for every item to give me more. I NEVER have this issue at the El Segundo location. They always give me a fair portion. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I'll just have to rely on the location furthers from my house. So...
