2nd Time Ordering: I am really disappointed with this place and lack of professionalism. We decided to order lunch and give our local business a try. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and grits, I ordered gumbo since we had a cold snap and it was good gumbo weather. My daughter ordered the lobster macaroni. Mind you we ordered through the grubhub app. 1st call from Chef C’s was confirmation that they got our order but they don’t have grits but they can substitute it for fries or nachos. He asked them about the bisque and they didn’t have that menu item. It happens no big deal and my boyfriend switched his order to gumbo.

We get a second call when grubhub driver arrives roughly around 12. We don’t have your gumbo ready because it takes a minute to cook the roux. We can refund your gumbo order and send the lobster macaroni or you can wait on your gumbo. We find out this will be ready around 2. We are agreeable to the time but hungry. We ask them to send the macaroni and since we don’t live far away we can come by at 2 for the gumbo. Mind you we waited until 2:30 to pick up the gumbo just in case it wasn’t ready. We get there the kitchen is cold and staff was in the front sitting down. We get an apology which we accept because clearly they are young workers and not responsible for the kitchen. Most likely reheat and serve easy preprepared food items. We are told the chef is not in and they could take our phone number and someone would call us. They ask if we want to come back the next day for gumbo and that “chef would have it ready” or we could get a refund. Since we want to support our community we felt that we would just come back the next day around noon for gumbo. Frustrated but feeling like it’s redeemable. We did not get that phone call from the owner and when we came back for our gumbo, guess what? Yeah……..no gumbo but the staff did ask for our name/phone number yet again. We went home and requested a refund for our 2 orders of gumbo from grubhub. They should regroup as a small business and take a lot of stuff off the menu so the staff can manage food that’s within their scope of experience. Reheating precooked items should not be their business model for every food item on the menu. Clearly it’s to ambitious for a kitchen that’s not fully staffed on posted business hours.

MY WORD!!!!!!! This place was recommended by my hairstylist and I am so glad that I visited!!! I LOVED the salmon and grits with lobster sauce!!! Ooooooooooooooowwwweeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! It was an absolutely DEEEEELISHIOUSSS party in my mouth!!! I couldn't even drive away without eating ALL OF IT!! It was smhokin good and smhokin hot (temperature) and I absolutely enjoyed every morsel of it. I also ordered a mac n cheese with lobster and shrimp but I wasn't as wowed by it as I was by the salmon dish. If I didn't live 2 hours away on most days, then I would absolutely frequent this place. It took 30 minutes for 6 shrimp tacos with 1 shrimp cut into 3 pieces in each taco. Unfortunately a few of the tacos didn’t even have that. Took the plate back only to be accused of stealing pieces of shrimp off the tacos. Mind you I ordered two sets of tacos and only took one plate that had the short tacos. Had to wait another 30 minutes for the manager to come from home to even talk. She said she looked at the camera and her cook chopped up the 1 shrimp into 3 and it was correct.
