Got a small banana pudding and I believe it was $6 which wasn't bad. Also got a cinnamon roll. 1 cinnamon roll was $7.75 and it was not worth it.It was not an extra large size just normal size. And it didn't taste any better than what you buy in the grocery store. Nothing different or special about it to cost that much. They didn't have cupcakes or Danish pastries or anything else like other bakeries. THEY MOSTLY HAD small and large Bundt cakes and slices of bundt cake. And that was just about all they had. I wanted when I went in chocolate cupcakes add peanut butter cookies but they didn't have either one. So I won't be going there again because they're too expensive for what you're getting and they don't have cupcakes or peanut butter cookies or Danish pastries. BUT if I ever want a bundt cake I might go there. But I think there is a bundt cake place in Redondo Beach Torrance area near Pacific Coast highway on the way to Redondo Beach called Only Bundt Cakes and I believe they're cheaper and do the same kind of decorating as this bakery does. I was hoping that this would be a bakery like other bakeries. I have found in this area most bakeries are either Hispanic or Filipino bakeries. I have gone to all the bakeries and there are several on Carson Street and none of them have cupcakes. So I had high hopes for Valentine bakery but once again I...
Read moreFirst time visit and last for this Carson resident👎🏽!!! I decided to check it out after I left pescador having lunch yesterday.
I will start by saying there's a Asian lady (manager) sitting in the front on the phone and when you walk in she doesn't even greet you or even look up at you to acknowledge that you just walked in the store, it took the girl behind the counter to greet us with a hello welcome and offering us a cookie!
Now concerning the bake goods, coconut cake was excellent and soft and had a great taste and the cookies were good to! But the peach cobbler was just okay it could use a lot more flavor IMHO, especially compared to Mama Helen peach cobbler I get from the Thursday Farmers market at the Carson Mall. So... I asked for a fresh cinnamon roll which I thought was fresh but the next day I tried cutting it in half for my Mom's breakfast treat it was hard and a rock and the butter knife couldn't cut it I have to use a steak knife to actually get through it! We're not even going to try the banana pudding we're going to give it away as a gift 🎁.
Overall it's over priced and not as good as people were making it out to be when I was reading all the post about this new bakery. It's sad that this black owned place is not what you expect it to be especially when it comes to customer service which is...
Read moreThey are off to a great start! Really delicious treats and awesome service. I went for the first time with my daughter, and we were impressed. The bakery is beautiful and clean and had such a welcoming environment. The person who served us was the owner's bother and his is awesome! He gave us a very warm greeting when we entered the bakery and he appeared to be genuinely happy that we were there. To top it off, everything we ordered and sampled was great. We ordered the peach cobbler, brown butter cookies, confetti cake, maple brown butter cake and tried the coconut cake as a sampler. Everything we had tasted so good. The sweet potato pie looked delicious, but I will have to wait until next time to try it. I love to support all businesses that are excellent at what they do, and this is definitely one of them. We found...
