Tom's #1 World Famous Chili Burgers — Restaurant in Carson

I have no idea what all the hype is about here. I have gave this place multiple chances and never been satisfied. The chili they say they are world famous for has a rather funky taste to it ? Like it has something sweet to it ? Something funky and not like regular burger joint chili, its strange to say the least. The burgers are mediocre frozen patties with no flavor, your standard burger joint in the middle of industrial warehouses, I think they only get their business from the people working around the area when they absolutely need something to eat because this place isn't cheap. I actually wasn't able to finish my meal once from here it was that bad. On that bad occasion I had ordered a Asada Burrito, from them stating they serve Mexican food it seemed like they served some great food ! I got my burrito and all I can say is wow. Every bite I took was that cheap chuck roast meat they cut into cubes to imitate asada LOL. Some places can pull it off but this place can definitely not ! Every bite I took was meat connected to fat that was not digestible, even if I wanted to finish the burrito the only way I could was by eating it and picking the fat out of my mouth. I gave up after 2 bites... I guess the only good thing from here in my experience were the fries kind of? I guess the only upside is that this burger joint serves combos unlike many other places but that's about it. From my expirence and absolute waste of money I won't be returning. I am not hard to please at all but when a place charges as much as this place does you'd expect some quality...

Me and my husband go in for a Asada Torta, it was the worse asada torta I’ve ever tasted. The meat tasted old and the flavor was so unflavorful and tasted like if they put soy sause to cook it. We went through drive thru and the cashier lady was over 30+ years old Hispanic was super rude and not friendly at all. My husband asked for grilled jalapeños and onion, a sauce and ranch and the girl looked upset that we ordered that, she just walked away she never said thank you. When we received it the grilled jalapeños and grilled onion were cold and the onion looked so old, this is the second time I come and get cold grilled jalapeños and onion: Seems like this place has bad cooks, the workers have no people skills, if people don’t want to take peoples orders and don’t know how to be nice go work somewhere else. I will never come here again, we would go to the one in Wilmington food taste better but service there is trash too, they get ghetto people to work here that do not deserve to work here due to their bad attitude, I only ate half of the torta and forced myself to eat it but I really wanted my money back. Customer service was not what I expected. All the cashiers were rude and disrespectful. We drove along way and wanted to stop by and get something to eat. No, way MyLove was going to drive somewhere else to get something to eat. So, we stoped by Tom’s #1 burger spot. I walked up to the counter to order, while the family went to have a seat. I stood there for a couple of minutes before the lady said hello, totally ignoring the fact that I was waiting to order and mind you there were four ladies working the register and four men’s cooking and they were just talking with each other and no other customers but my family and I. You would think they would say hi once you walk in 🤨 French toast meal was really mushy, the eggs and sausage were good. MyLove and I had the Pastrami meal. Substituted the fries with Chili cheese fries. That was good but I’ve had better. Went up to the counter again to get a thousand island and again the ladies ignored me, the guy that was cooking had to let them know, “less chat and more work, take care of the customers.” Well, maybe others had a different expense but for me I know, that was my first and last time I’ll be showing face there,...
