Guthrie's Cartersville — Restaurant in Cartersville

After church, the family was hungry. Usually if we pickup anything fast it's something like Zaxby's or Chick-Fil-A. We hadn't tried the new Gunthrie's in town and it was close by, so we went. They had 1 truck in the drive-thru and 3 people sitting inside. Clean inside though... Our order came at a decent time. They have a very limited menu. You have a choice between chicken fingers and fries and chicken fingers on a bun and fries. We got 2 "snacks" (3 chicken fingers) and 2 kid's meals (2 chicken fingers). I asked for ranch with one of the kids meals. Never got it and was charged 59 cents for it. Most places if you get an extra sauce it would be 25 cents...this wasn't even extra sauce and we didn't get it. I had the sassy and sweet sauce. It tasted okay, but wouldn't get it again. A little spice to it, but not great. Tasted like the spice comes from jalapeño. The food flavor was okay, but nothing special. The big deal...the size of the chicken fingers. I was blown away. These were closer to chicken nuggets. They were as small as my pinky toe. They do offer a military...

We were excited to pull in through the drive thru today for lunch. As previous Athens folks, we love seeing the Guthrie’s name. Unfortunately we were not treated well. The young lady running the drive thru on 6/26 at 12 noon wasn’t the right person in place to service the customers. We weren’t greeted at all at the speaker, just left sitting aimlessly, happily paid $38 for two adults and one child. Given zero napkins. Cole slaw was very similar to purple gelatin. Coke was good. The only service she provided once we got to the window was reciting our order back like a speed reader, it seemed almost cynical. As a high level google reviewer with 500+ reviews. I love giving 5 star reviews. Unfortunately today I couldn’t do it. I recently watched a new Burger King fold before their year mark due to this very same service. Local owner get in your business right now and get it stable and running or it will fold. Chicken here is 200 times better than Zaxby’s. Keep the sodium levels where they are. The chicken...

First time visiting tonight. Was not too excited when I heard another chicken place was coming. But tonight I just happened to give it a try. I ordered a chicken sandwich meal with a side of coleslaw. The waitress suggested the garlic bread instead of regular and I said sure, but still ended up with regular bun. After a couple bites, I decided the bun was not worth it and left it. I also didn’t really care for their sauce, it wasn’t bad, just not my thing. The chicken tenders fries and coleslaw were all decent and definitely better than zaxbys! But what saved the day for me was the homemade ranch. I’m a sucker for homemade ranch and if I ever went back to this place it’s because of the ranch. If they had some mozzarella sticks and onion rings and salads I probably would go back sooner. All in all it was not a bad experience and I would be open to eating...
