First of all, the food is very fair and very average. The folks who work here are very nice. A great staff they have here. The owner is a clueless. Watch your wallet. Watch your bill. The place is just looking for a reason to upcharge.
First, this restaurant will not include jalapenos in the cheese dip. They're going to charge you 99 cents. Horrible.
Don't dare ask for mild sauce because they're going to try to charge you $2.25. Only place ever I've come across this cheap.
The woman owner does not care about customer satisfaction or anything else. Totally tone deaf in dealing with criticism or customers. I did bring this to her attention, mentioned this was my first time here and was unimpressed with her policy or really the food. This owner did not care at all abour customer satisfaction, quality or feedback whatsoever.
This is the worst example of disdain for customer feedback I have ever seen in my 50 years of life. Really when you look at it it's sad and pitiful. To lose a potential lifetime customer over $3.24.
I was unimpressed with this place and will not be back. Average to below average quality on food also. Very stingy on portions and helpings. Stingy on amount of cheese dip too. If you order Jalapenos in your cheese dip, expect about seven in a half cup of cheese. If you order three tortillas for $1.99, you should go other places and realize that's not the going rate. I preferred La Parrilla a whole lot more after I left that place. (Hope they open up one in Cartersville and put this owner out of her misery. She doesn't deserve customers based on her treatment of me. )
I worked in a Mexican restaurant for 8 years and our owner (who was known as a little tight) wasn't so clueless to willingly lose customers over three bucks & change.
While this pathtic excuse for an owner got money from me this one time, they never will again. When I tell others about my experience and what I thought of the food and policies, it will definitely cost more customers in the long run because they will not even give this restaurant a try. She doesn't realize that she could cost herself hundreds of dollars cumulatively over years because she had to be a tightwad to get the $3.24 out of me last night.
Bad customer experiences cost companies many times over what it was worth the first time to get a few bucks out of the person that time. Economics is not hard to learn. But if you don't want to listen, you never will learn it.
Like consumer Advocate David Horowitz said on his television show years ago fight back and never let them rip you off. I told her what I thought because I'm not passive-aggressive and I don't hold it in. I was fair and very nice about it. She ignored me. Fine, I'm now going to tell others what happened. I believe in Walking With My Feet. Moving forward, I will avoid this place like the plague and go anywhere but here. I also will tell others of my experience and encourage them to avoid this place neither.
Buyer be warned . I believe if you have an issue, you're going to get zero help from anybody. I always encourage people to avoid the issue before the issue becomes the issue. Owners like this don't deserve your business and should never get it. They'll get theirs in due time and learn a very hard less when it comes to satisfy and customers and learning the customer is always right.
Now all of this is just my humble opinion. If you enjoy small portions, upcharges and lack of customer service or appreciation, you're going to love this place. I mean this will be your favorite place ever.
If you're like the rest of us, and are refuse to tolerate this and accept poor quality, if you find you accidentally pull up in the parking lot, turn around can go anywhere but here. Your stomach, wallet and peace of mind will all thank you.
Zero recommendation and 100% recommendation to stay away based on my experience
EDITED: Saw response, gave them a call & recorded it, she didn't want to address my concern đ€„ rather accused me of a scene đ€Ąwhen pushing back.đĄ Said she didnt have time for this.đ€Ż...
Read moreIf I could give negative amount of stars to this restaurant I would. We recently moved to the area and this restaurant is always very busy so we gave it a try tonight for the first time. We could not get out of there fast enough to write this review. My mind is utterly blown at the amount of outstanding reviews this place has. Yes they were very busy which is absolutely deceiving because how could that many people have bad taste in food or just not know quality Mexican food when they eat it. Truly we should have known from the chips and salsa that we shouldâve gotten up and left but we didnât. They have a lengthy menu. We ordered our food and it was visually unappealing to say the least. When you took one bite you instantly knew that every single thing on that plate came out of a can or a box and I am not even exaggerating. I ordered a combination with a taco a Chalupa and a enchilada however I received a taco an enchilada and a tostada. I ordered them all with chicken and there is absolutely no question that this was chicken OUT OF A CAN!!!!!!! Like tuna out of a CAN!!! The tortilla shells and taco shells are better quality at the grocery store so I canât even imagine where they got these they are absolutely not homemade not one single thing had any flavor or taste. My teenager can cook better than this again my mind is absolutely blown with how busy this place was and yet how terrible the food is. And by the way the service was terrible also the only thing good about this place was that it was less than 1 mile from our house and the Dr Pepper was outstanding. I am begging you all of you NOT TO EAT HERE!!! Drive to Kennesaw and eat at Luna Mya!! Next to Hobby Lobby. Their food will make you emotional itâs so good and the service is like family. If you like this place you must live on Kraft mac n cheese and hot dogs because this place SUCKS!! UPDATE; You see itâs Monday now and the restaurant replied to my review to call them to rectify the issue. I instantly called them. Spoke to Joseâ. Truly this was really to just ask me to take down the review. I said the only thing U could do to ârectifyâ the situation would be to refund our wasted $30. He said if we have the receipt he will do that. I said that is great of you to stand by your service and food. He went on an on that they are always busy have loyal following and a lot of good reviews. I said I agree thatâs also something I put in my review as to why we choose to go here. He insisted ten times the chicken was not from a can. I completely disagree (man I wish I took a picture of this. You would see exactly what I mean by itâs from a can. That can chicken is unmistakable) however I donât work there so itâs for the next customer to find out themselves. He asked again for the review to be taken down. I said I will not as this was a genuine experience for us here however I will Update the review to show that you cared enough to offer a refund if we provide receipt. Again I strongly recommend if you want amazing world class Mexican food. Go to Luna Mya in Kennesaw. Mind blowing amazing every single time. Try the nachos. I could cry when eating them they are that good! Sorry Santana, this is just my opinion. Like I stated before you clearly do a good business as your always busy so I wish you continue...
Read moreSantana Mexican Restaurant in Cartersville, GA presented a disappointing experience during my visit. While traveling for work, I decided to try this local spot, hoping for a satisfying meal. Upon entering, the ambiance felt a bit dim and unwelcoming.
I ordered the chicken fajitas, which were served hot and as expected, with a tempting aroma. Unfortunately, my appetite was completely ruined by the sight of a roach crawling across my table. This, coupled with the poorly cleaned tabletop that had leftover debris I had to flick off, made the cleanliness level deeply concerning.
When the waitress eventually returned, I showed her a photo I had taken of the roach. However, instead of addressing the issue immediately, I had to find the manager myself as I was leaving. The managerâs response was polite but rather matter-of-factâhe asked me to send the photo so he could forward it to an exterminator. While this indicated some acknowledgment of the problem, it lacked the urgency and empathy one might expect in such a situation.
Though the chicken fajitas met expectations in terms of preparation, the restaurant must take serious action to improve its cleanliness, especially with wiping down tables and pest control. Without these changes, itâs hard to recommend Santana Mexican Restaurant as a reliable dining option. Cleanliness is a cornerstone of any dining experience, and unfortunately, this visit fell short of that standard. Returning under these circumstances would be...
