It has been my deepest honor to encounter one of the most kindly, Christ-centered families I have ever met—people who don’t just talk about the gospel but live it, breathe it, and serve it in every single thing they do. They haven’t built their ministry behind a pulpit. They’ve built it behind the counter of a coffeehouse. And with every cup they pour, every smile they give, every act of kindness they show—they preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that can be felt.
The warmth that radiates from their lives is not for show. It’s the quiet grace of those who know who they are in Christ. Each member of this family has embraced their divine purpose, not by striving for attention, but by humbly creating an atmosphere where God’s presence is the true focus. They don’t need to announce that this place is sacred. You feel it the moment you walk in.
To many, it may first appear like just another coffee shop in a quaint Missouri town—but to those who step inside, it quickly becomes something so much more. Whether you’re walking into the cozy original location nestled in the heart of Carthage or the newer shop planted in the hustle and flow of a busier street, you’re not just entering a café. You’re stepping into a sanctuary. A holy pause. A sacred encounter.
Maple Leaf Coffeehouse serves more than drinks. They serve the presence of God—poured gently into every detail, from the songs that fill the air to the prayers spoken behind the counter, and the laughter and testimonies exchanged across wooden tables. You can taste heaven in the cup. You can feel God in the room.
And it’s not just the family that carries this mission—it’s every single person on their team. A culture of discipleship, love, and hospitality flows through the entire business. They embody the servant-hearted ministry of Jesus Christ, and they serve every person that walks through their doors like they’re serving Him. Because in truth, they are.
People come in with weary hearts, racing minds, and questions too big to speak aloud. But within these walls, they find peace that surpasses understanding. Some walk in lost, uncertain, even broken—but they leave reminded that God is still near, still good, and still writing their story.
You don’t just sip coffee here—you find your footing. You find your breath again. You hear your name spoken with kindness. You hear testimonies being shared at neighboring tables, prayers being whispered in line, and worship softly pouring from the speakers as if the air itself is saturated with grace.
Many who walk in don’t yet know the Savior, but by the time they leave, they’ve felt Him. They’ve met Him in a smile, in a word, in a gentle act of compassion. And they’ll never forget it.
This place is more than a coffeehouse.
It is the heartbeat of a town.
A resting place for weary souls.
A launchpad for revival.
And truly, a glimpse of heaven on earth.
I already called it heaven on earth from the moment I walked in.
Now I simply share that truth...
Read moreStopped into Maple Leaf Coffee House in Carthage, MO for the first time after a couple of early morning appointments in Joplin. The staff were all super friendly, and the place was clean and peaceful—just what I needed before heading home (about an hour away). I had the Chicken Florentine, which was good, but the real standout was the Caramel Raspberry Frappé—so delicious! I was trying to avoid a full-on sweet treat. Overall, a great experience and definitely...

The staff was amazing, the crepes were divine, and lemme just say I can finally understand how my mom drank her weight in chai lattes because I was practically frothing at the mouth after trying theirs. 10/10 a very atmospheric and...
