Best Pizza in Carthage and still so much more; with a menu that offers anywhere from the Italian 'greats' in dishes and well known foods (e.g.; pasta's, gyros and subs) all the way to, my personal favorite, baked breaded shrimp. Great food, coupled with a clean restaurant decor'd with just the right touch or the 'honey hole' in Italian ambiance accounts for at least three of the five stars because let's all agree to agree that no matter how great the food may be, if it isn't received by a customer friendly staff, it loses flavor points. And oh boy at their staff. It doesn't matter the route you choose for consuming your Milano's Dining experience, you are treated like a longtime friend, if not like a family member of the owner, Irfan, who works every single day, all day, answering the phone for the call in orders placed for pick up or delivery, serving his dine in customers and handling the financial exchanges. I know Carthaginian's can humorously identity, with years of my own concern (as Irfan was born and raised in his homeland, Turkey) that his general loud, quick, thick accent surely would never find us picking up what we called in and yet all the years I have called in orders for my personal pick up, never even once, found my orders wrong. So for anyone passing through Carthage or just a citizen of our tiny town who don't already know and love Irfan as one of their own, please go and meet him and his wife, Martísa, who definitely place the last two stars on this, my five star rating. And one final note: loving the new delivery guy with the red hair. He is a definite asset to the Milano's family owned and...
Read moreThe gentleman/owner was very courteous and the restaraunt was pretty clean. The pizza buffet was delicious. The cheese was thick and the toppings were very generous. Especially the pepperoni, id say the pepperoni was layered thicker than the actual crust. Id also suggest trying the alfredo chicken pizza. For a buffet, the quality was suprisingly good and oddly enough the salad bar was excelent. This was my first experience here and i arrived at 3pm which is not wise for any buffet. One might expect a buffet to be less fresh at this suboptimal time. However, Milano pizza was hot and ready. Some small areas of improvement that i would recommend would be to label the salad dressing bottles and to improve the desserts portion of the buffet. The desserts were average quality at best. Another suggestion i would have would be to include sides of marinara, alfredo and garlic butter on the side of the buffet. This would encourage customers to dip and eat more crust and be less wasteful. Otherwise, i thuroughly...
Read moreWow..... where to start. Upon walking in, I immediately got hit with a bad vibe about this place. Weird smell, almost that of not cleaning enough, and upon visually inspecting the place, I soon understood why. There were no customers inside, and the workers stared at us with a look on their face like "why are they coming inside?". We were instructed that we would have to look at the menu at the counter, so we walked up to look. Right next to the counter is the buffet items which my eye quickly caught foods mixed in with each other. Most notably a huge piece of broccoli that was floating in the kidney beans. After placing our order, we proceeded to a chosen table, which wasn't easy picking due to the amount of cut up chairs. After finding one, we sat down, and I open up the Google reviews and see that someone had reported a dead bug in their pizza, and that the cook mentioned that was the 2nd time that week. I agree with the other reviews stating that the health department...
