I’m back with another review. Let me start out by saying the manager was nice and helpful. So let me share my horrible food experience today. I absolutely love going to this place! So much so that when they first opened I had to be in there within the first week! I love going to new restaurant openings and getting to feel out the atmosphere/food in the beginning! I usually only have time to stop in here on the weekend and grab my usual spicy honey chicken sandwich and a hash brown or grits w/tea or ice coffee! Today was a bad day! After I finished my one errand to the local store I headed home expecting to dive right into this spicy sandwich with honey! Well a little voice told me cut it in the middle! I never cut these sandwiches in half. But this morning I did and let me tell you!!!!!!!! I’m so glad I did! When I tell y’all it was like whoever decided to prepare and actually cook this sandwich just took it from whoever battered and quick dip it in fryer and put it on a biscuit and serve it right out of the drive thru window!!! SMH i cannot even begin to tell you how sickly I was feeling without even taking a bite of this raw chicken in the middle with the crispy outside lol!! I was dumbfounded, in disbelief, very disappointed in the fact that i could have been very close to probably becoming very sick! My next thought was how many other people experienced this same issue this morning when they ordered the same biscuit? I really hope that they didn’t have too many of these raw combos sent out! If they did I hope people were like me and checking their sandwich! So anyway upon returning to the store and asking for a manager who again was nice and answered my question about checking the temperature of the chicken before taking it off the fryer. BTW all Staff should be doing this with all food that is being preparing in any fast food restaurant! Again, if you have read any prior reviews of mine I take food safety seriously. I use to work in a restaurant so Washing hands, cleaning up in the kitchen area space/restaurant as you go, not cross contaminating, cleaning out the ice machines and soda fountains (dispensing tabs) the food safety protocols!! I know what staff should be doing!! I expect when I frequent a business that is catered to selling products that the safety of what I am buying is just as important to staff who are working! Preparing uncooked food is a hazard and should not be taken lightly! That particular staff or employees should go back through a food safety course and be monitored more closely! Again, I did not get the manager’s name he was nice and offered something else but to be honest I loss my appetite and could not think of anything I would have wanted to eat. He again offered maybe a muffin and so I took him up on the offer and received a blueberry muffin. I honestly have not eaten it yet and it’s well into the evening time right now. I would like to say to all managers, assistant managers, shift leads, who are in the food business keep an eye on your staff in the kitchen and do not be afraid to stand over their shoulders and monitor and correct unsafe cooking behaviors. As customers also we have a responsibility to inform a restaurant of mistakes if they are made. We have to look out for ourselves also as employees are not equipped with continuous training and communication on a daily basis on food safety preparedness. I understand these fast food places may be short staff or they may be busy at any point in time that I enter. However, serving uncooked food is a serious problem! I truly hope that the manager has addressed this with his team. I am not looking to get anyone in trouble but the fact of the matter things could have gone horribly wrong for me today. Staff please take your time when preparing customers food, check your temperatures on food, as this is also a part of providing good customer service even if you are in the back in the kitchen cooking and not up front! This is my first time having an issue here. Manager gave me a...
Read moreBiscuitville is generally always good -- but this one is one of the absolute worst fast food restaurants I have ever had the misfortune of patronizing.
Always slow, but that is ok if food is cooked properly and order is correct. Time before last I ordered a scrambled egg, bacon, cheese and they put zero bacon on it (did not check so was at home 10mins away before I noticed).
Yesterday gave them another try and was even worse. Chicken biscuit ordered with cheese, but no cheese on it. The biscuit itself was tiny and crumbled off the chicken at first bite. Got 2 hashbrowns, both were so undercooked that I came home and had to put in air fryer for over 8 mins, still were not all the way done (should tell you how raw they were).
Frankly, I do not care for any remediation from this store bc I know any food I get from them will be borderline inedible. But will say this awful franchise totally tarnishes the entire brand for me. I won't be trying there again, and there are enough Rise biscuit places and other new places that I will look for them before I bother to go to any...
Read morewe've been going to this biscuitville for years but since the two most competent managers that worked there Calvin and Phyllis have left it has been just going downhill. most recently we went around 1:15 p.m. no french fries!! so we settled for hash browns that were soggy with oily and not crisp. also what happened to the pork chop sandwich??? no more pork chop sandwiches so I settle for steak which was the thinnest piece of steak I've ever had with a ton of breading. quite honestly after the mishaps we've had with stuff missing from the sandwiches or just an item missing in general or when we order something it's not available because basically the staff just wants to get out of there as quickly as possible and the lack of general customer service in general at this store we have finally given up and will not...
