Cuco's Burrito Express — Restaurant in Cary

First time trying this place as I’m new to Cary area. Ordered my food (burrito suizo steak dinner, chicken taco dinner). Was waiting in the area and another customer walked in. He ordered and gave the man my food. The man left and then came back 5 minutes later and informed the hostess that he received someone’s food. My food. The man hands the bag over to the hostess and she looks inside, then walks over to me and hands me the bag. I was really disgusted because who knows what this man did to my food. Did he open it and realize right away it wasn’t his or did he touch it and check what’s in it. Not to mention that it had been at least 5-7 minutes between him leaving and coming back. I let the hostess know that I would like a fresh, hot, untouched meal. She kinda gave me a little attitude and walked back to the kitchen. About 6-7 minutes later they called me back and said my food is ready (I kinda have a feeling they gave me the same food back). No choice but to believe them and take it. Tried the king burrito suizo. Nasty, very very nasty. My stomach started hurting right away. Plus it was cold. Everything was pretty disgusting to be honest. I will not be going back again. New to the area and everyone says this is the place to go for good Mexican. Steak tacos were pretty good, rest of the food was just ok, nothing to write home about. It’s entirely possible I ordered the wrong thing, should have looked at reviews before ordering. But the thing that really stood out here was how unwelcoming and rude the girl at the register was. I said hi when I walked up, literally blank stare. I said hello? Again, nothing. I started to wonder if she was deaf and I felt like a jerk for saying hi twice when she can’t hear me. Finally she says “what are you ordering?” With a tone like I was bothering her. I chalk it up to maybe she was having a bad day, been there. Until I went in again and she was just as rude, if not more so. Anyways, I’ll go back in a pinch since I live close by, but definitely wouldn’t tell my family and friends about this place. This place deserves no stars. Very highly unprofessional place. The staff holds your credit card hostage, & grabs your phone out of your hand go throw your phone. As they don't believe you are there to pickup, a order. I wouldn't be surprised if they have the BBB complaints, the young teen girls, who work there have no customer service skills, or people skills. They gave me adttude because I wanted the food I had picked up, in a warm bag I was going to carry it in. They refused to hand me the order, I went to pick up, until they felt like giving it to me. By the way the food was done way before I asked them to hand it to me. I stood there looking at the food in a bag for a lonnnnggg time. Before they decide to hand it to me.
