When the restaurant manager's excuse for poor customer service is "I'm busy," you know there is a problem. Here are a few reasons why this place is now our least favorite restaurant in Raleigh.
This used to be me and my husband's go to mexican restaurant near until TODAY. We ordered Camarones Yucatan and the first time it came, it had cheese in the dish. I specified no cheese, no sour cream, no butter and no milk products whatsoever because I am allergic to milk. So we asked for it to be corrected, and the manager acted like I inconvenienced him and took the dish away. He comes back with a second dish and there were three vegetables missing: onions, green peppers and red peppers. So we asked to be brought a plate with those specific vegetables, even showed it to the manager on the menu. Again, the manager seems even more frustrated with us. We received the final dish and it had green peppers, onion, and mushrooms. STILL INCORRECT. He grumbled rudely to us, "Is this one okay now?" At this point, I've waited 35 minutes to still get an incomplete and incorrect dish, so we're flustered and just ready to leave.
On top of the manager being rude and the food being prepared improperly THREE times, our server was a ghost. He took our orders and we never saw him again throughout this entire ordeal. When we finally managed to locate him and request the check, he didn't even bother to ask if our meal was okay.
So, for the icing on the cake, I spoke to the manager after our meal and told him how rude he was and how ridiculous it is that we had to reorder the same plate three times and still have it come out wrong. He proceeded to say "I'm busy" and "We have new people" and did not offer to make anything right. He tried to charge us full price for our experience as well, which we did not stand for at all.
We will never visit this location again. We realized that night that we weren't folks that they were happy and willing to deliver a great Mexican food experience to, we were dollar signs and inconveniences. DO NOT give this place your business, there are much nicer restaurants in Raleigh that have cheaper prices, better food, and better...
Read moreNever personally had a problem here. But just watched my lunchmate be served the wrong quesadilla. He took a bite and was grabbed by the shoulder by a waiter who brought his correct one. They gave him the correct food, and we assumed the bitten one would be trashed. We watched as Pico was placed over the bite and the food given to the correct patron. Pretty gross Update 4/30/2018 Giving this place another chance was a mistake. Every step of the way trying to eat here this evening was a hassle. Upon ordering a Daiquiri, 6.29 in the menu, we were told that the flavor requested was not available. not a big issue, We chose a different flavor. We were then told that the whiskey sour listed in the menu was not available. ok. we place our food order, and guac and queso for the chips. When our food arrives before the dips, I request to cancel the order on the dips, as we would be done with the chips. This cause quite a ruckus as the server had to find our waiter, who had disappeared. we finish the food, but not the drink as it tasted like a weak strawberry water, and began waiting for our check. for about 15 minutes. finally, we managed to catch the same server from before to ask for the check, who goes to find our waiter. we wait another 10 minutes for him to come toss it down and scurry away. Reviewing the check, we find that the 6.29 drink in the menu now cost us 12.99. we discuss this at the register, only to be told, while we point at the menu, that we are wrong. It was our fault we did not specifically order a SMALL when there are not sizes listed. after an argument, the man goes to find our waiter, who still cant be found. Failing to locate him, he gives us the price of the drink that we ordered. we did finally locate our waiter, when he came to the glass windows to give us the finger while we drove off. I can honestly say that this has been one of the worst dining experiences I have had, and I didnt expect alot to...

Update- I probably ordered the wrong thing, but sometimes you just have a nacho craving.... I used to get the fiesta nachos all the time, during the pandemic also. I'm supposed to be eating more protein, and this dish is simple- chips, lots of chicken, great pico and queso. I'm not complaining, I completely understand rising food and labor costs, but expect that it's about half the size it used to be and yes, the price is up. That's not why I took 2 stars off for food. It's because the chicken was warm in spots, cold in others, and used to have a wonderful, fresh, slightly spicy flavor to the dish. The chicken was bland and dry, except for SALT. That's all I tasted. This is a seasoning thing, and I had an expectation in my mind because I've ordered the dish about 20 times since they introduced it 2 years ago. Our server was amazing and he's taken care of me for years. I know that he would have done just about anything to fix it. I just decided to let it go this time. I've been a customer for 25 years and food inconsistency used to be so rare that I would be shocked. I go about once a month now, and it's very hit or miss. I miss the old version of the restaurant even if I had to pay...
