Please note, that some of what I am about to share was out of the restaurants control. This was a Sunday around 2pm. We sat at the bar We ordered bloody marys, which were delicious. We wanted to order the chick-arrones for an appetizer because we were starving but it took so long to place our order we just ordered everything at once- which was fine. The Chicken chopped salad had a "special dressing" on the side which tasted and looked like mayo so we wanted to ask for a different dressing. The eggplant parmesan was ok tasting- nothing great- oh and it was also chicken, not eggplant. As we waited for the bartender to come back the entire buildings power went out. We sat there in the dark, waiting, he tried to eat some of the salad without dressing- all of a sudden there was shouting from above us, I look up to see a man looking down from over a balcony - my sunglasses fell off my head. I get off my barstool to pick up my broken sunglasses and the banter from above continued and we quickly learned it was towards us specifically. The bartender finally come back and we asked about vinegrette dressing (they do not have), we asked for to-go boxes and what we needed to do to get out of there since there was no power and we were being harrassed. The bartender went and got the manager, who was also very nice, and she came over to ask us what those men were saying to us. I politely asked what we could do to just get out of there and she asked if we would leave our card number. I didn't even think at the time how dangerous that was because of being teased and my boyfriend being taunted because he was on crutches and could do nothing to defend us. We wrote a credit card number down and what we had...

Galati's has been a name in the Cary community for years and despite the fact that our first experience in their down town location was mediocre at best, we were still excited to try them again at the new location and an added perk was local delivery. We tried them on numerous occasions for both lunch and dinner...eat in and delivery and have yet to have a good experience. From salad toppings like quartered tomatoes and other ridiculously large bites than no human can fit in their mouth to chicken noodle soup that lacks both chicken and noodles (pretty much straight broth) Had burgers ordered medium rare on a couple of occasions totally overcook and dry in both cases. The pasta dishes I've tried could have been matched by any $1.75 jar of sauce in a jar. And on the occasions we dined in, the service was mediocre to poor. I'm not a hard person to please and most of my reviews run to the positive side, but Galati's, unfortunately, has done nothing right by us. It pains me to turn my back on a local business but fortunately for them, I appear to be in the minority as they have a good over-all google rating. Just wish we could have experienced some of...

We were a bit confused when we walked in not knowing what door to use. We chose the dining room side which was decent but no music. We could hear every other diners conversation like we were sitting with them. There were speakers everywhere but no music which is odd for a restaurant. Server was not attentative and waited awhile to come back to take our order. I wanted ice tea which was on the menu but server said they were out. We had the cheese curds which were pretty good. We also had a 14" pizza split toppings and was tasty as well. We both agreed on giving this place another shot. Our 2nd visit was much better. We sat on the bar side and was much more lively. I had the burger with the egg and bacon. Wasn't bad. My wife had pasta ravioli. Was good other than it should come with garlic bread. All in all it does matter where you sit and server's personality. We will...
