First of all, kudos to anyone restoring and working diligently to support local business/theater. We attended the Jim Westover Elvis show on Saturday, August 28. We have seen he and Speedway often at many locations. We're always ready to attend the next show and done our best to support local talent. They are so good! It was our first time at the Paramount Theater in Casa Grande. We travelled in from Glendale and purchased our tickets as soon as they came available in May. It was part of an August birthday gift from my husband. After waiting over 3 months for the show and our one hour and twenty minute ride, we found the venue rather quaint, and definitely set up for a reception. White table cloths, fancy decor, etc. It seemed a little much based on the other interior elements. The spaghetti "dinner" fell flat. A scoop of spaghetti and a roll served in a 3-compartment styrofoam container, plopped in front of us, on top of the golden charger plate and white table cloth. Packaged flimsy plastic forks made it difficult to eat the spaghetti. Are you kidding??? Then Debbie, passing out cake in plastic baggies. Does she work there?? Seems like that job shouldn't have been up to her. Another, are you kidding?? We were seated at table 4, against a wall. It must have been a dead zone, as it was difficult to understand words/singing over microphones. There were many audio issues as well. We totally missed the story told by the Elvis trumpet player. I was not the only one to experience this. The theater does not have the proper acoustics, or modifications, for this type of event. We were disappointed with our overall experience. It is highly unlikely that we will support this theater in the future. That's unfortunate, because we would like to. Add in our nearly 3-hour round trip travel, the show starting late, the poor audio and acoustics, and the poorly served food, it just wasn't worth it to us. We will continue to support Jim and Speedway as much as we can in the future. Thanks to those guys for all their hard work presenting us with great...
Read moreI called to find out information about pricing for a party. The manager answered the phone and started laughing at me. Just because I said I wanted a room by the 30th. He started laughing and kept saying that's next week. Like if I'm not aware what day it is. Also he had asked me a stupid question asking if I've been to a theater before. Should I of said here's your sign. I believe he's has poor customer service and should not be acting like that to someone that was trying to give him...
Read moreI wish I could give this venue 0 stars. I called to get pricing/info for an event next year. I let the woman know what I wanted to rent the venue for & the month. I asked general questions such as: hourly rates, packages, deposit info, how far in advance do they book. All I got was, "it depends." She was not helpful at all. I'm not sure if she was being difficult on purpose but the call was frustrating. I am definitely taking my business elsewhere. Good Luck to anyone inquiring on...
