I really love this park. It's in the neighborhood that I live in so I bring my 2 year old son here on a fairly regular basis. The part of the park that my son loves the most is the splash pad that is right next to the playground area. It's free and is on a timer but has a button you push to turn it on and then back on. The length of time that the water stays on has to do with the time of year that it is. During the summer it stays on for 20 minutes at a time and as it gets colder in the year, it only stays on for 10 minutes or so. You're able to push the button to turn it back on right away so that's cool. This is the second park ever that I've seen a splash pad at. The kids love it. The actual playground area is also pretty cool as well. They have it so that kids of all ages can play there safely. They have a little playground for toddlers and then they have the big one for the older kids so that parents don't have to worry about the bigger kids running over the little ones on accident. I don't take my son to any other park out here in Casa Grande since this one...
Read moreGreat park very clean, unfortunately there's a group of bratty teens who think they own the skate park and tag all over it, which is whatever, the only problem with that is they close the skate park to paint over the tagging. I spoke with Steve from parks and rec who suggested that did that I would be satisfied when the park was turned into a legal mural setting where children could come and spray paint murals inside of the bowl. I think that is a terrible idea because1st of all people under 18 years old should not have access to spray paint to begin with and it also will lead to gang activity and future potential acts of violence stemming from the legalization of graffiti in the area. They were suggesting that cameras were going to be put up in the area, If the bowl at the skate park is covered in graffiti murals it will only take away from the visibility of the cameras as the graffiti in the bowl will act as a camouflage and the camera will not be able to catch specific...
Read moreThe remodel of the park is nice, BUT on the Casa Grande Ave parking lot they moved the Ramada so that it sits BEHIND the bathrooms and put wind screen up on the new tennis court totally blocking veiw of your vehicles. A bunch of us had a picnic there and three of our vehicles had the windows broken and purses stolen before anyone noticed a problem! It's a horrible design that facilitates a major safety issue! It used to be our favorite park due to gather at because the visibility allowed us to watch the kids playing ball and playing volleyball, now we will have to find a...
