The sign at the counter states that customers will encounter a memorable experience and Cajun hospitality. Well, yeah and NO. I’m from the South and have eaten at many Popeyes locations across the country and I have never, ever experienced anything like this place. I will certainly not forget the sad, arrogant attitude that was displayed by the manager that was on duty. We ordered from the drive thru and asked for a 16pc family pack with dark meat which they responded that it would be a 15 minute wait and that was expected as we’ve ordered this way many times at this same location. During the time that we were ordering there was at least 2 different people speaking to us through the intercom and the second one made sure to emphasize the extra wait as if she was trying to discourage us. We then pulled forward and paid without any issues and was once again informed that it would take 15 minutes to make our all dark meat order. Then the gentleman at the window asked if we could pull forward to wait for it to be brought out. Once we pulled up, my wife checked the receipt and saw that they had not gotten the order correct in that they listed each type of chicken which included four breasts. We shrugged it off not wanting to complicate the situation and we waited, and we waited, and we waited. Thirty full minutes later and no sign of anyone, so I took the receipt and went inside. The lady at the register was very nice and once I explained that we had been waiting for 30 minutes, she quickly let me know that she had just clocked in and had no idea what the problem was, turned to another lady in back and asked her about it and that lady said something to a lady in the very back who came walking quickly to the front and said in a very disgruntled voice “You ordered special chicken and that takes longer” turned back around and shot back to the back. As she walked away, I said yes ma’am we were told it would take 15 minutes and by now we’re at the 35 minute mark. She spun around looking like a mad wet hen and came strutting back out and no joke; barked out “You ordered special chicken, you wait for special chicken!” I said how much longer do you think it will take to make 12 pcs of “Special” chicken and she mumbled what I “think” was “As long as it takes!” It goes without say that everyone in the place got really quiet and it became extremely awkward. I stood there another 7-8 minutes before they finally handed me our food. The manager remained in the back as if she was hiding. I don’t know who owns this place, but it has to be a tax write off as we were there for nearly 45 minutes total on a Friday evening and there was a handful of customers that came through. We have now appropriately named this manager the “Special Chicken Nazi” and no way we will we ever be back. Ain’t no Cajun Hospitality ever darkened the door of that place! For the record; the chicken and the sides tasted fine. I feel really sorry for the employees in there that have to deal with that manager’s...
Read moreI went to this establishment on 10/04. Immediately upon going into the restaurant, there was a line of people that were waiting and there didn't appear to be anyone at the register. When finally someone came back, the people ordered, but even this took a long time. When I finally got to the counter to order, I ordered the 16-pc chicken tender bundle. I paid and went to wait for the food. I noticed that 5 minutes of waiting turned to 10 minutes. 10 minutes turn to 15. 15 minutes turned to 20. It was already about 30-40 minutes of waiting and I still hadn't received my food. The people that ordered ahead of me had only barely received their food by that time, so that showed that I had a long wait ahead. While waiting, a customer approached the front counter and showed the manager food that wasn't cooked well. She went back to her table and brought back even more chicken that wasn't fully cooked. She gave the food to the manager and wanted new food. The manager took the bad chicken and tried to serve it to another customer. Another customer witnessed this, as well and an argument ensued with the manager. Ultimately, they asked for a refund and left. The manger started directing the employees to close down the restaurant and lock the doors with customer still inside, even though they weren't intended to close for another 4 hours or so. I finally got to the front and asked to just have a refund as I had been waiting almost an hour by then, and my 5 year child was starving and crying from the argument happening in the restaurant. The manager took the receipt and processed what seemed to be a refund. When I looked at my account, it looked like it was a secondary debit. I gave it a couple days, but confirmed that instead of refunding me, she charged me a SECOND time. So I was charged TWO TIMES for food I never even received. Here we are almost 3 weeks later. I have contacted Popeye's corporate in regards to the issue requesting a refund as the total for being charged twice was over $50. I'm still waiting to hear from them to get my refund. Extremely disappointed with the service in the restaurant and the way that the corporate office has handled...
Read moreWhat an unpleasant experience. Upon walking in there were a handful of tables waiting on their order. After we ordered, we patiently waiting 20 minutes for our food. While waiting, I closely observed the young man who took our order was doing a whole lot of chatting with other employees or concerned with what other coworkers were talking about more so than he was about putting the orders together to get the people their food while it’s still fresh and warm. I witnessed a lady standing and waiting to order for 5 minutes before she finally walked out due to him not turning around to take her order. Once the (who I assume was the onsite) manager came up front and sent out an order that was taken after us, I asked what happened to the order before that one, which happened to be ours. He was very proactive about it and handled it wonderfully, but when I got my order, it was missing things. So I went back up to the counter and that’s when (the same young man who took our order) Demetrious was trying to tell me I should have specified my side and was arguing with me with a smile and super disrespectful tone. To which I asked, “isn't that your job to ask what side?” And he said “no, that’s yours” and just smiled at me. To say this young man, is AWFUL with the public and super disrespectful and shouldn’t be working upfront or with people in general is an understatement. I won’t be returning here again. Yall need to get your staff inline. I’ll say, the manager was very proactive and helped resolve the issue and corrected the young man and showed him on the register that it’s his job to ask and select the side. Very please with the managers ability to fix the issue at hand, but something needs to be done with the chitchatting and the lack of organization skills here. It’s called fast food and if I wanted to wait close to a whole half hour for my food, it surely would have been here I...
