The food was fine, my issue was with the service. Our waiter did not give us much time to look at the menu, but it was okay because we knew what we wanted pretty quickly. My friend ordered a full serving of chicken fried rice and an entree and the waiter commented about how she was ordering a lot of food (she kindly explained she wanted leftovers) but we felt it was very uncalled for and judgmental. Someone else came by and started packaging up our food, without asking us if we were done, and while we were still ACTIVELY eating (they also spilled my sauce all over the to go boxes which added insult to injury) They gave us the check and came back for it a minute later which made me feel rushed to grab my card. They dropped off the receipt and then came back to ask if they could TAKE the signed receipt less than 2 minutes later, when neither of us had finished signing them yet.
We felt very rushed and forced to leave when we had only been sat for 30 MINUTES. We were left wondering if we had been speaking too loudly, or done something wrong but nobody came to speak to us at any point so we have no way of knowing.
Overall not a great experience, we will not be going to this...
Read moreI'm very confused how this place has so many good reviews. The food i took out was not good and was absurdly overpriced. I got an order of crab rangoon that had absolutely no crab or even imitation crab in it. If I wanted cream cheese rangoon, I'd just go to Panda Express. I got some "crab" rangoon and two combos, and it was 50 BUCKS before tax. They refused to swap my white rice for fried rice on the side. The rice was extremely dry, not just sticky but dry and clumpy. The shrimp was chewy and overcooked. The orange chicken wasn't even edible, I was just chewing and chewing but it wasn't breaking down. I just dont see a world where this experience was good. Maybe it would've been better if I'd eaten in, but if they can't do take outs, then that's pretty sad. I wish so badly I could get a refund, but they could barely even take my order...
Read moreThis was by far the worse food we’ve had. We ordered carryout for family visiting from out of town and while we’ve not been impressed with the food previously, we decided to give First Wok another try.
Unfortunately, everyone agreed that the food was just not good. The egg drop soup was very different from any other. It must have had a lot of fish oil because it tasted very fishy. It also had shrimp which we thought was unusual.
The Sze chuan chicken was sweet and had a lot of cabbage, bamboo shoots and baby corn. The General Tsaos chicken was good. Hard to mess that up. The beef lo mein was very bland.
We can’t say we will be back. It was expensive and we had to pitch the leftovers in a house where we look forward to having any leftovers...
