We decided to try JT's based on recommendations from locals. We came on a Saturday night. Here is my opinions: Atmosphere: very family friendly restaurant. We sat in the back of the restaurant. Almost every table has a family with kids under 3 years old. My toddler immediately became friends with the other two toddler boys at the next table. Since JT's is in the heart of Cascade, I feel the clientele is a good representation of the demographic of Cascade - mostly young families, and a few older couples. We observed at least 7 tables with toddlers and infants. These kids are going to school with my little boy in a few years. Just a interesting perspective from a mother.
Service: our waitress and bus boy/girls are all nice and friendly. The service is quick and efficient.
Food: now this is a debatable thing. Overall, everyone has different taste. Opinions on food can be subjective. We moved here from a different state last year, haven't found any local restaurants that impressed us. We've had some really good Italian food back in the North (New York and New Jersey). We think JT's food is mediocre. The food tasted what they are supposed to be. Nothing special. Portion is on the smaller side (in comparison to most restaurants). Here are what we ordered, taste rating on a scale from 0 to 10: Spinach Feta Francesca ($17). Taste rating: 8.5 out of 10. Margherita Pizza (12.75). Taste rating: 8 out of 10. Pretty decent pizza Caprese Salad ($12). Taste Rating: 7 out of 10. Food value: 12 dollar salad, very small portion - a few iceberg, a few slices of tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Do not recommend. Meatball sub ($10 for 10 inches). Taste rating: 6 out of 10. Mediocre meatball. Definitely not homemade. Tasted like frozen meatball you can buy from Meijer/Walmart or any grocery store. Bread is Walmart bakery quality 1 dollar (pre-inflation price, don't remember how much it is now) Italian bread
Overall, this is a good local restaurant for family to grab...
Read morePizza is great and we've ordered from here numerous times both pick up and delivery and had a great experience up until tonight. But our delivery driver tonight was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and started verbally attacking me the moment I opened the door because he didn't like the area in town we lived in. never had anyone say they don't deliver to our neighborhood. But this guy had an issue and started berating me as soon as I opened the door and made me stand there outside incredibly uncomfortable yet he kept on ranting. If some delivery policy changed we should have been notified over the phone when we called and placed the order OR even called back explaining the situation so we could order from somewhere else but instead this delivery driver took it upon himself to shame me for where I live and pay rent. Terrible service on his part and a bad reflection on the restaurant unfortunately and he should really be ashamed of himself. Sadly will not be ordering again because I'd be afraid he was the delivery driver or saw him in the restaurant. Thanks for your service...
Read moreFirst time trying JT's pizza. We needed a change of pace. My first impression were not that great with there customer service walking through the door. The guys at the counter were not very friendly but all the same got my name and went to get my pizzas, but only 1 was ready due to a tornado warning that had literally went off 10 minutes before I ordered my pizza. Something had went wrong. This was very understandable. After waiting for 10 minutes, they gave me both pizzas and apologized for the wait. I drove home for the taste test. Let me tell you. It was well worth the wait. The pizza was fantastic. The bacon was very flavorful and the cheese tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. I'm very much not a crust guy but I indulged in the whole slice, And then another and then another. Great work on the food guys. Maybe just work on the customer SVC a little. But thank you for a good pizza. We...
