Came in about 1:00 on a Friday afternoon. The place was not busy and I was seated right away. The waitress was a grump from the start. I ordered the "Boneless pork chops: 2 breaded and fried chops packed with flavor". The first order I got was clearly NOT breaded and the only flavor tasted like half a shaker of salt. I had to flag down my waitress because she did not come back around to see how I was doing. I pointed out that the chops were clearly NOT breaded. Not believing me they were to be breaded, I had to point it out in the menu. Not wanting to be bothered, she asked the other waitress to tell the cook I wanted the breaded chops. 10 minutes later, I got what they must call breaded. They were nothing more than flour coated and fried and they had ZERO flavor. They did not give me new tator tots, so now I am eating dry flavorless chops with cold tots. Such a disgrace and disappointment.

I recently visited Walt’s Restaurant in Caseville, MI, and while the food was decent, the pricing is absurd. They seem to nickel-and-dime you for everything. I ordered a breakfast croissant, which was $7.00 for just the croissant and a piece of cheese. Then, they tacked on another $0.25 just to add an egg. I also ordered a bagel for $3.25, and they charged an additional $0.60 just for cream cheese. On top of that, they charge for drink refills and add a 3% fee if you pay with a credit card. Now, I realize these prices aren’t going to break the bank, but the constant little upcharges make the experience feel overpriced and frustrating. It’s the principle of the thing that makes me think twice about coming back. While the food is okay, the extra fees will definitely make me look elsewhere in the future.

Walts -- a small town diner at its best. Located in the middle of downtown, on M25, is the best eating experience in Caseville. There is nothing pretentious about Walts -- the menu is typical American and appropriately priced. We stopped here on a sunny, yet cool, March Sunday, hungry and ready to eat. The food was good and arrived in a timely manner. My burger had a crunchy crust -- a sign of a hot griddle expertly used. Everything was expected and delicious. Will keep coming back. Edit: breakfast is great too! Homemade corned beef hash, eggs and homemade toast for just under $7. I was full for the rest of the day. Cinnamon rolls are great too.

The best breakfast in the Thumb. My grandparents had a cottage up here in 1977 and I've been a regular since I was old enough to drive from Livonia. We have our reunion every 4th weekend of July. Every year I despise seeing pretentious, overbearing, condescending a-holes that come into this historic gem with their snooty noses held up high in the air as if they own this wonderful village with its wonderful heritage and its wonderful people that live here year round. To all those wonderful people that own businesses and work and live up here year round, I offer you all of my love and respect. And, to all the d-bag, a-holes, that come up here 2 weeks during the Summer to pollute this beautiful land and condescend the people that live here and make their living, I hope you all drown in the bay. I hope you and your condescending friends drown in a massive storm while you stupidly sail your ridiculous boat into Charity Island and its rock patch. I love Walt's. I love its decor. I love the awesome breakfast. I kinda miss the Nascar (Winston Cup) Decor. LOL!!! But, I love the people the most. The waitresses, regulars, etc. And to those who don't like it, go jump off the end of the breakwall into...

The patty melt was good. Wait staff was pretty non existent as when I walked in with a group of people, the server looked at us clearly irritated and just stared at us standing there and told us to seat ourselves and rolled her eyes from all the way across the restaurant. Of course this wouldn’t have been a problem if there was any kind of sign that told us to seat ourselves. Just felt super awkward. Our drinks were empty before we got our food, and were never filled for our meal. After we were finished, our waitress brought us our tab, and two of my friends asked for some more water, she got them both water but didn’t bother with the other empty glasses (a table of 4) We ended up splitting one of those glasses of water because we were actually super thirsty following a hot day and a greasy meal. I give 2 starts for the food, but I think the waitstaff and customer service could...
