Visited this gem after spending a weekend exploring Wyoming. I'm a boots guy, work boots and hiking boots, but never cowboy boots. I decided I'm finally getting myself a good pair of cowboy boots.
Now admittedly I had no idea what to look for with cowboy boots. I knew my size and width, that was it. Up comes Bob asking if I need assistance. "Lord yes, I haven't the damnedest idea what I'm doing".
If I can say anything about this store, it's the service. Bob helped me to find what I would consider the perfect boot for me. All he cared about is that I left happy. You know what, mission accomplished Bob yah did good.
One thing that had me shaking in my boots (I got the puns) was price. Lots of people online complained this place was expensive as hell. Um, what? I saw something across all price ranges. First pair of boots I looked at were mid 200's. They were awesome but not exactly what I was looking for. I ended up settling for a pair USA made boots just slightly north of $400. Quality American made boots for $400? Thats very reasonable in my experience. Now granted I beelined to the boots and didn't look at much else. The jeans didn't seem to badly priced for the brands and quality though.
All and all, I love this store. I will absolutely be coming back next time...
Read moreThis amazing store has been around since 1919 and is still family owned! Their boot selection is phenomenal! My husband's boot size is hard to find, so usually he has to settle for a boot he isn't crazy about wearing. We were surprised to see a good selection in his size, so yep, you guessed it, we bought some boots. I found a pair of boots just like my husband's, so now we can match. How fun is that! Ok, you know I love their boots, but there is so much more. They have lots of western wear, outer wear, jewelry, and tack, and the list goes on. I've saved the best for last. Remember back in the day when customer service was the thing? I thought that was something long gone, but not at Lou Taubert Ranch Outfitters. The people who work there make it their mission to help you in any way possible. They are friendly and so knowledgeable about everything they sell. So, if you find yourself in Casper Wyoming, do yourself a favor and go to Lou Taubert...
Read moreIn town for family and needed new boots with all the snow and cold weather. Being from Florida, this store was very intimidating at first. I walked in and Louis gave me the run down of all the inventory on every floor. Having wide feet that rarely fit women's sizes, I found a pair of mens Justins boots. Lou took the time to help me try them on and told me to walk the store. When I came back I let him know that the left boot was pinching my foot. He stretched the boot right then and there. Then proceeded to put them back on, lace them up and helped me put my coat on. A real gentleman! Outstanding customer service! If you are in the market for boots or western wear, I highly recommend this place!! It may seem overwhelming at first but the team there makes you feel right at home! I will definitely be back!...
