First time here had the chivo=goat it was accompanied with rice, avocado, and sweet plantains, had for dessert torta which is a cake with a cooked condensed milk filling, served warm. The goat was seasoned just right in enough sauce to wet your rice, it was served Hot and so very tender!
I got their app (2) empanadas Verde cheese for $11.99 to go and had it the next day for breakfast. It came with a little tiny cup of greenish yellow dipping sauce (mildly spicy, really great flavor) but it didn't taste like plantain, to me it was more like a cornmeal patty stuffed with white cheese. Only measuring approximately 3-4 inches, I felt it was really over priced $6 each! It was a nice size meal serving but still found the price a bit much.
I gave them 5 star because the service and ambience was great, the food that I had was GOOD (I love Spanish music but the choice of music was very fowl explicit, that might matter to Christian families or with children, I don't know if this is what the usual would be, at around 3pm and found it just a little too loud for "my" taste). I didn't want to leave a 4 star because of that or the price, being prices are high now at any Restaurant you go but on a budget like I am, it won't be possible to "frequent" there as I would like or maybe if the servings were bigger it could maybe justify the price. Add a coffee and a bottle water, for a total of $48 without tip for ONE person! Is another reason, mostly, I try new places by myself... I still would want to go back and try some of their other items but not able to,...
Read moreOn August 24, we visited Ave Maria Lounge with a reservation made two weeks in advance and confirmed for a party of 35 two days prior. However, upon arrival, our table was set up for only 25. Your staff had to scramble to accommodate us, which was particularly challenging given that there was also a group of 70 present.
The table arrangement was poorly planned, making it difficult for your staff to deliver food and drinks efficiently in a cramped space. It was disappointing that the owner and manager were not present to support the staff; they had to be called in only after the situation became problematic. This lack of preparation and oversight led to an overwhelming experience for your staff, who were left to handle complaints and an inefficient service process.
We hope this feedback helps improve future service and...

I decided to try this restaurant for lunch on New Year’s Day, eager to experience Ecuadorian cuisine for the first time. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations.
The waitress was unwelcoming and dismissive. When I asked questions about the menu, she gave curt answers and even rolled her eyes, making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I ordered the churrasco, which cost $30. While the meat was good, the rice and beans were cold and lacked flavor. For that price, I expected much better quality. Overall, the food felt overpriced for what was served, especially paired with such poor service.
It’s disappointing because the interior of the restaurant is quite nice, but the lack of customer care and value ruined the experience. Sadly, I cannot...
