Bagel King — Restaurant in Casselberry

I ordered from Bagel King the first time through doordash. No complaints, I really enjoyed them.

A few days later we decided to pick up an order ourselves for me, my mom, and kids. When I called the first time to place the order, the person taking my order was not even listening to me. I had to repeat my order several times because she was too busy laughing at something in the background for the entire phone call. I understand you're busy but at least just listen to me place the order so we can both return to our other priorities.

Upon getting home from picking up the order, I noticed my sons entire bagel was missing. So I called at around 11:30 to ask them what we could do and she told me that I could come back in before they close and they could refund or make another "but they get really busy between 12 and 2" So she recommends I come back immediately. I said well I wont be able to make it back before 12 can I just come tomorrow to fix this. She said no "today only".

Wow so you guys miss an item in my order, which leaves my son with nothing to eat and you expect me to drive all the way back to you, which is not a short drive, for you to rectify your mistake. I mean you could have at least offered a credit for the next time. Nope, it's either you come now during our preferred time or none at all. With how expensive you guys are you would think the service was better.

I’m a native NewYorker and of course have had my share of great bagels. With that being said I pride myself on being a bagel connoisseur. lol. I just recently moved to Orlando and was needing a fix and had heard that this bagel shop was the best around. Well… sadly to say I was completely disappointed!!! Where do I begin??? I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and lox with tomato, onion, and capers. I also asked for extra cream cheese as I was going to eat it at home open faced. I asked for the bagel to have the cream cheese on it and the topping on the side so I could construct it myself when I got home. I get home, I’m all excited and I open the container with the bagel and there’s barely any cream cheese on it. (See photo). But open the other container and the sliced tomatoes don’t look fresh at all and look like they have been sitting around for days and very soft and lifeless. The onions look the same and there are no capers in sight. Thank god I asked for extra cream cheese which they put in a little container. Otherwise I would have not eaten at all. Then let’s move on to the baked goods. I ordered a black and white cookie which was absolutely tasteless and I ordered a linzer cookie which was the same what I did taste was something that seemed like it had been in the showcase for weeks I threw them both out. What a tremendous disappointment and waste of money. They wouldn’t last five minutes in NYC. I wouldn’t go here...

I found this place on Uber eats and I figured I would drive the 20 minutes to sit down and eat there, I was not disappointed. Came in on a busy Sunday, but it’s self seating so I didn’t have to wait, as soon as a table was open and clean I sat down. The service was extremely quick so people were in and out. I was with 1 other person, and we both loved our server, Nick. Great guy, very polite, and funny. Immediately they give you 2 styrofoam cups and there’s a wall full of coffee and fountain drinks, no waiting. The menu had great options and the food came out quick and hot. Overall everything was extremely quick and efficient but not feeling rushed to finish at all. The food was delicious, hot and fresh. Plenty of people around us were also having a great time and some even seemed like regulars. Great for breakfast and lunch. Would definitely love to come again and try more. A genuine whole in the wall.

EDIT to my post from four months ago - I went back in a group of 3 this time, and it was just as amazing as the last time. The 3rd person I brought with me took some convincing to go, and I definitely talked about this place very highly. Once we got there and got our food, they were amazed.
