Wow this place is a hidden gem. The best chicha I’d ever had. The tequenos were fresh, there was no hot dripping liquids that burn your lips (those who eat them a lot, know what I’m talking about). My Venezuelan husband had the classic Cachapa with queso mano, nata and a side of chicharrón. He loved it. As for me, I had el patacon dulce (queso mano, ham, carne mechada, queso rallado, salsas, tomate y lechuga). Wow wow wow, this was delicious (I don’t know if this will help anyone, I’m Dominican and I absolutely loved it.)
As for the service: The atmosphere is chilled and relax. We grabbed a menu and sat ourselves. We were greeted within 2 minutes. Drinks, appetizers and main dish came at a timely manner (opportunity: main dishes can come at the same time). Kris was amazing, approachable, clean, knowledgeable and attentive. I highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting again.
PS; You can tell that El Toque thinks about their customers because we loved to see a seating area in the middle of the restaraunt for those who are waiting to pick up meals or be...
Read moreI went to El Toque in Orlando and honestly everything we tried was excellent. We ordered the beef stew, which comes with two small fried arepas and a piece of cheese with lime on the side. The stew was flavorful and comforting, and the arepas were perfectly crispy. The cheese with lime was such a simple touch but really added to the plate.
We also tried the Pepitazo, which is basically a huge sandwich loaded with beef and fries. The portion was really generous and definitely something you can share or enjoy if you’re really hungry. They also bring out different sauces you can try with it, which makes it even better because you can mix and match depending on your taste.
What stood out to me besides the food was the service super attentive, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Everything came out quickly, and they made sure we had everything we needed the whole time.
Overall, the portions are big, the food is full of flavor, and the atmosphere feels relaxed and genuine. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to when I’m craving Venezuelan...
Read more3 stars is generous tonight. I first ordered a shredded beef empanada. They served ground beef. 🙄 The ground beef empanadas from Santinos much better @ same $5 price.
Then onto main dinner was parrillitas... think name was... that was tasty. Pichana steak, chicken, coleslaw, fried cheese and arepas.
The problem came when El Toque would not honor a Clipp $30 certificate which was valid until April 2025.
I was told they stopped honoring the certificates in November 2024.
Said I should contact Clipp for refund. That is not how the certificates were sold though. If El Toque decided to break contract and not honor their certificates...it should be posted on front entrance.
I will try to contact Clipp tomorrow. It didn't help that I had to pay $30+for dinner tonight.
Now I'm upset with feeling ripped off by El Toque. I would never return to eat...
