I give this park 5 stars. There are a variety of things that you can do here that we'll accommodate arrange of interest when it comes to gatherings for parties and/or reunions. I enjoyed the vast landscape. There's plenty of room that has green space for kids to play Football Soccer, pretty much anything you would like. That's very nice. In addition, the pier is very well built and it goes out very nicely. There's a couple spots on the property to wear. They have picnic tables one spot by the pier. Brings you to an opening for an additional fishing spot. Beware, though you are very close to the shoreline and alligators are abundant, not in any florida water. They have restrooms on-site that are very clean. Parking is a bit slim, so please. If you do you plan to hold a party, please accommodate for the additional parking. The pavilion, it's very nice. There are 3 grills that are right next to the pavilion. For easy access under the pavilion, there's probably about 15 to 20 benches. So there's no lock up seating. Again, I truly did enjoy this park.I will go back many more times the also, the playground phenomenal. If you have younger kids, it's beautiful. The basketball courts are absolutely spectacular. They are a double rim, but the court itself is beautiful. I highly recommend picking up a game. The fishing is a little scarce to say the least. The lake itself is full of Super cute turtles, so if you love turtles, that's your lake, that's all I got my friends. I hope you enjoy as much as I did. And maybe if you catch a fish,...
Read moreThis Seminole County park is ideal for a 30 minute walk around it or to link up to other trails for a longer trip walking or biking; this is possible since the park serves as a trailhead to Kewannee Trail which is 1.7 miles long, paved and 14 feet wide (great for family, stroller, etc). To hike around the entire park was under a mile and that 30 mins included us stopping to watch a bunny eat and to look the fish on the boardwalk by, what I believe is, Lake Kewannee. The boardwalk walking through the woods was most of the trail and a bit slippery at times, if you want a paved walkway, that is possible for 20% of the park loop. If you cross the street, you can walk along Cassel Creek and read all the educational signs about the habitat (explanation on the pretty purple pickerweeds dotting the creek, damselfly vs...
Read moreThis trail and lake area is a gem! Turtles galore in the pond/lake, a quaint stream with plaques along the walkway telling you of the wildlife near by, and a fabulous wooden walkway through what seems like a flooded jungle in the middle of no where. Where the water is as black as coal from the iron content and so dark that you wonder what manner of animal is lurking below. So quiet that you feel you really are in the middle of no where, an ancient explorer (but I digress). There's also bike trails that are paved. This all in the center of casselberry. ...
