Honestly worst order experience ever. So where do I start, first, I ordered a party platter order well in time for this to have been ready in time. I ordered this food yesterday at 7/16 around noon. To be ready the next morning at 6:30 AM. Which is plenty of time to prepare. I get there at 6:15 AM, To be told the food was not going to be ready until 7:30. The cooks were not even cooking any food or preparing anything so I already knew this was going to be an issue walking in. The lady at the cashier tells me the people who worked the night before didn’t put the order they put the order for 6:30. Didn’t offer any refund or replenishment just assumed it’s Not their problem and we would move on. Although, I needed it to be ready at 6:30, but whatever I decided to come back and pick up the food.
This is where I got really upset; we come back at 7:20 to get the food, we receive the food and when we get to the meeting the food was supposed to be present at, the food is the complete WRONG ORDER! and guess what the lady who works there, starts blowing up my phone calling me telling me that I needed to bring the food back in order to receive the correct order. Not to mention the food was was cold. By the time they called me it was already almost 8AM, which is already 1 and a half hours over when my food was supposed to be ready, and gave me the wrong order; with no refund or replenishment. Just demanded I bring the food back.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The food sucked and so did the service. I demand a full refund and someone to reach out about this because this was ridiculous experience. Do...
Read moreChaos definitely is the right descriptor for this place, which is unfortunate since our whole city has been looking forward to the opening of this business.
They need to figure out a new system, as we waited for 45 minutes to get our to go order of two breakfast sandwiches, a pastry, two hashbrowns and a fresh OJ. We waited so long because the person handling the to go orders allowed our order to get other orders stacked up onto of it. After watching 15 people that ordered after us receive their food, we inquired about the status of ours and she just said "not ready".
It wasn't until a manager came and moved the stack of orders around, it was found. They proceeded to try to make our $5 fresh OJ, and the machine stopped working and the employee stated they had no OJ. We asked if we could have a refund and get two of the Minute Maid OJs at half the price and they said they need to fix the machine so it'll be a while. We just asked for the two Minute Maid OJs because we've already spent so much time here and cut our losses since they refused to provide a refund.
While waiting, we hear the phone ring and ring and ring on full blast, with no one making an effort to answer. If you’re not going to answer, don’t get a phone line or turn the ringer off. We also saw an employee putting their hair net on with their gloves on and then touching answering their phone with the same gloves on, no changes, while behind the grill.
By the end of it, we ended up with ice cold food, and Minute Maid OJ and a bad taste in our mouths...
Read moreOk- food-the staff is friendly, but it becomes VERY frustrating when you're second in line, and it takes 15 minutes to get to the register, and there's usually just one cashier judging from all the fake positive reviews for Sofia, I'm guessing she's the talker slowing down business. Same one cashier mentioned in all the "positive" reviews.
The staff engages in long conversations with customers with ZERO regard for time or any of the customers waiting in line. They have no sense of urgency! Most people work or have to be somewhere else. No one has 15-20 minutes to wait on a weekday when you're the second person in line! If the staff moved as much as they talked and wasted time, they would have a lot more business. Clearly, Tainos has already outgrown this location, but slow, unambitious staff has hindered its potential. Unfortunately, staff won't care about the wait since they're probably paid hourly. The only solution I can recommend to speed up the service and stop unnecessary wasteful time is to offer some bonus or incentives on the amount of food sold hourly by the staff. Maybe that will light a fire under them - otherwise, your business will become stagnant, and customers like me will not be returning.
Tainos has their friends, family and staff try to drown out negative reviews by having them post positive reviews saying the same things over and over again. It goes to show that they're not interested in advancing or addressing actual concerns from REAL customers. It's all about the almighty dollar....
