I cannot speak highly enough of the owner, Chris. Even through a text message before having met him, he put my mama heart at ease. We came in for my 2 kids to get their ears pierced. We came with a friend who had their kiddo get their ears pierced as well. This man was so calm, so patient, so warm and professional. He was not phased at all by all the little kid silliness, distractions, or tears. Being a girl dad, this man showed true love and patience to all these kiddos. Even the other siblings that were there not getting ears pierced. He explained everything to us, showed the kids what he would be doing and did not rush. Our kids were not quick and he stayed focused on making sure they were comfortable and ready. He had other customers and the phone ringing but he was so focused and genuinely wanted to make sure they were comfortable. He made conversation with them, helped to make them feel calm, and had lots of goodies to reinforce being brave (lollipops, squishmellows, stuffed animals). Even small details of asking us parents first if it was ok to offer candy. He even took the opportunity to explain to them to never take candy from strangers but reinforced that the parents are here with them giving permission so it's ok. I had wanted to come to a professional to get my kids ears done, and not some kid at the mall. Not to knock other options for ear piercing but I knew my kids needed a bit extra sensitivity and care. As did I haha. He definitely helped ease my mama heart and I'm very very grateful. The price will be more than the mall, but the experience and care you receive will be 1000% better..highly recommend coming to see Chris at Habitual Ink, especially if you have a kiddo who is...

I visited the shop with my family on 10/17 to only get my 1 year olds ears pierced. As soon as my family walked through the door we ran into the owner. He was SUPER KIND. The shop was decorated with memorabilia with signatures! Every piece of art has a meaning in the shop and I love that. After the paperwork got arranged, my husband, the owner, and I walked to the back of the shop to get my baby girls ear pierced. The entire process was explained to us before the marking on her ear happened. He talked us through the process as he was dotting her ear as well. He made sure to place the dot in an area of my baby’s earlobe so it will grow well with her ear, as we as, have enough space if she ever wants a second earlobe piercing. He was gentle with my baby’s and even gave her a toy to distract her ! A toy she can keep, as a matter of fact. He also had options of children’s shows to distract her but unfortunately she didn’t care much for the option I chose, which was Ms. Rachel. Although my baby cried from being held down by her dad, she was never in pain from after the piercing and it still looks amazing to this day. He provides the aftercare and explains in detail how to care for it. We were so happy with the process of everything, my husband and I got our noses pierced! He even swapped my mothers nose ring out for free. He has such an amazing spirit. I will definitely come back for my piercing and tattoo needs. Chris (the owner) was absolutely amazing from the very first phone call. I found this shop because of their WELL-DESERVED reviews and star rating, many of which mentioned infants- and now I completely understand why.

For my daughter’s first birthday, my dad wanted to carry on the tradition of getting her ears pierced, just as he did mine as a baby. Chris was so pleasant to speak with, and even offered to come in on his only day off to work around her birthday and party.

When we arrived, he explained exactly what to expect and how to make the process as smooth as possible. He spent time talking to my daughter, letting her take breaks whenever she needed, and never rushed. We chose the sweetest little gold studs with a clear crystal that look absolutely gorgeous on her. He made sure the placement was perfect before moving forward, and even gave her a plush toy afterward.

Just as he explained, she only cried for a moment (mostly from being held still), and she calmed right away once I “loved on her” as Chris encouraged after each ear. His patience and care made the experience so positive for all of us.

He thoroughly reviewed the aftercare instructions, reassured us that he’d be available during the healing process, and even offered help when it comes time to change out the earrings in a couple of months.

This was such a special experience, and I’m so grateful we chose Habitual Ink. I’ll be recommending Chris and his shop to all my friends with infants and children....
