Had seen this place mentioned a few times and decided to stop in a little before closing to check it out. Service was excellent, food was good, portions were huge. We ordered a philly roll, a bento box, a steak and shrimp teriyaki plate, and the ninja chicken (med hot). I think the highlight of the meal was the ninja chicken, it was crisp, thick, had excellent flavor and batter, a little bit of spice to it, and overall was something totally unexpected. I might order the extra hot next time. If this was a chicken fried steak it would be amazing. The teriyaki was average, it was good flavor but not overly impressive, the vegetables were large pieces, and the places I have liked the best had steamed veggeies that were partially shredded. The sauce lacked any prominent flavor, and was neither bold or sweet, it was just present. The philly roll was average, it tasted fresh, the fish had good color, and it was neatly assembled. For $6 sushi it was pretty decent. The portions were very large, we both took leftovers home, and despite arriving 20 min to closing, staff invited us in, told us not to rush, refilled our drinks, and were very friendly. I rated this a 4/5 only because I've had teriyaki with more flavor, steamed veggies with more flavor, and since thats the main item on the menu, I felt it should have really stood out. Everything else was great.

Today was horrible….food looks sloppy and the sushi looks like the box was dropped. Very disappointed. The volcano roll is supposed to be lightly fried but it’s soggy. Hardly got any lo mein noodles. My table got buzzed and when I went to the counter, the lady said she called the wrong number. Once I was called and checking my order there was protein in the bag. I mentioned to the cashier the sloppiness and the shrimp were missing and she poked around it with a fork and said they were all there. 🤬and no veggies. It started to get busy the line was getting long and I was so angry and annoyed I just left as I could see I wasn’t going to wait to get my order remade. And for some reason, I did not get my receipt, but it was around $32 definitely not worth it. It’s usually good. Never had a complaint. I order takeout at least twice a month with my sons and I normally spend around $60 total. There was a new group of cooks from what I noticed as well as the front counter. Totally disappointed!!!!!🤬

A hidden gem and an amazing find. Was looking for authentic Taiwanese food in the area and stumbled upon this on Google/Yelp. Located in the plaza on San Pedro crossing Oblate Drive, it is relatively visible from the street driving there. Parking is usually a breeze since they have a long row of parking spots right in front of the restaurant, shared with other shops in the plaza. Was able to find a spot in the late noon time frame (13:45) Though you may have to walk a bit when during busy hours.

Ordered the Beef Shrimp Bento Box, Popcorn Chicken, Pot Stickers (Fried Gyoza), and Passion Green Tea. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Especially the popcorn chicken. It feels like they even use the paper bags on the night markets in Taiwan. Crispy on the outside and juicy chicken on the inside with plenty of basal leaves. Bento box even includes 4 pieces of sushi on addition to a small salad plus fried rice (or steamed rice), definitely not only flavorful but also fills you up well. The Passion Green is extremely refreshing and well made. Wow.

The interior decor is modern with a touch of art, loving the open concept as well as extremely well lit floor due to tall window glasses. Can be a bit noisy but definitely sounds popping. To my surprise, quite of few of the staff spoke Mandarin/Taiwanese and of course, the owner is also Taiwanese. They are also military friendly! Any active duty will receive a discount. Loving it (really don’t like to say but most Asian stores do not offer military discount); they caught my heart on that one.

Will definitely come back to try more authentic Taiwanese dishes. Keep up the good work...

This place is Brilliant! We do not live anywhere by this restaurant. We actually live on the north east side of town by Stone Oak. We literally drive here once a week just to get their food.. The staff is amazing they greet you. The food is freshly cooked so you wait for it. They’re fully stocked with no shortages on anything. The place is clean if you decide to dine in by one concern at first was the parking was kind of tight in the front, but I didn’t realize it was actually parking in the back which is has easy access and you can’t get any closer to the door than you can in the front. It’s great! As far as the food, the choices are the perfect amount of the menu. It’s not an overwhelming menu where you can’t decide. It’s perfect portions. In fact the portions are big very big. You can taste the freshness of them. Any protein that you get with it we had a party of 30 to 40 people and I purchased huge foil Takeaway trays like you would put a turkey in at Thanksgiving of their food and we had so much left over not because people didn’t like it. It was because it was so much food and we ate it for days as well as our guests that took home to go.! Most of the dishes come with these amazing sautéed vegetables, cabbage being one of the main ones I can’t say enough about how amazing that is my only complaint is that they need to make one on our side...
