I thought that the food at Duke's was really good and our server was lovely as well unfortunately she was overwhelmed and very busy. I almost felt guilty asking for stuff. But thankfully she managed even though she clearly had a lot to do. And also unfortunately we did not go when they had prime rib so that was a bummer I probably would have liked that more. And as far as the food I only had a couple complaints like the strawberry avocado salad did not have candied pecans... THE PECANS WERE NOT CANDIED, I don't even know what to say to that because it's just so shocking. What a missed opportunity to elevate that salad. Also I ordered bread which cost $3 and it was pretzel bread and it didn't say anywhere on the menu that it was pretzel bread it said fresh warm bread like bro you need to indicate that is pretzel bread because a lot of people don't like it myself included. I would not have spent $3 for pretzel bread. I thought you were bringing me real bread. So those were the two things that I thought were a bit of a disappointment. Also there were constant flies. I guess you can't help that when you have the doors open to enjoy the outside fresh breeze but we were constantly waving away flies. Thankfully they do have comfy large booths that was nice. And the rest of the food was really good. I got the tenderloin shrimp and scallops. I almost should have just got the scallops though because they were the star of the show. And they finish everything with a lobster bisque sauce it almost reminds me of like a little drizzle of hollandaise. I thought it was really good but also decadent. I ate way too much. I felt like my stomach was going to explode when I was leaving haha but that was my fault we ordered like two appetizers and a salad and a soup and a full entree and dessert with coffee and I had two drinks. But I can't help I wanted to try everything. Haha. And they don't employ the stupid little pads I'm so glad because I'm sick of restaurants that are doing that and I feel like everywhere is doing that lately. Why can't you just take my dessert order yourself thank you. So I really appreciate that they have not leaned into that technology because it is stupid and annoying. But they really need to get some candied pecans for their salad and they really need to specify that bread is pretzel bread because I bet most people do not want that. It was slightly better dipped in the buttery juices from the mussels though. But it comes with pretzel bread if you order mussels so basically it was just a waste of my money. Only $3 but still. And I didn't complain they probably would have taken it off the bill but I'm just saying in general as a request from a customer to the restaurant stop serving those or put it on the menu because that is not what I thought I was ordering. But other than a few personal preferences I would say the food was really good. The chefs back there know what they are doing. Everything was cooked perfectly and so delicious. Even with a few complaints I couldn't give them less than five stars because the food was that good and my server was that good. But I would make some adjustments if it were my restaurant haha. Let me know if you need a chef to provide candied pecans because I make the best candied pecans in the world lol. Overall I would recommend it to any fans of steak or similar meals. My husband had the chicken fried chicken and that was really good as well. And my daughter loved her chicken alfredo.

I hate taking a full star because once the service arrived it was excellent. If I could just take a half I would just take that. The waitresses were all super nice and got us our food quickly, but it took nearly 15 mins once we were finally seated for anyone to even come give us water or ask what we wanted to drink. I was actually about to leave when an older lady, very nice, came by and asked if anyone had seen to us yet. I will say the hostess was not rude but did ignore us for several mins while we stood upfront looking confused as to where to go. They have the host stand, unmarked, a bit far from the door and it was slightly confusing since no one was near it for several mins. When she finally went to her post and just stood there I realized it was a host stand and that's where we were supposed to go to get service. I'm not sure if she ignored us because I was the lone brown person in there or because she didn't want to deal with new people, but we made eye contact several times while my husband tried going between the doors looking for a clue where we should go and she just kept doing other things instead of helping us. I am glad I stayed even if the hostess was a bit off putting. The other staff was quite pleasant. The chicken fried steak was excellent. Not that processed mashed up meat nonsense. It was a proper steak that you had to cut with a knife and chew. Not as good as grandma's but not too far off either. The sirloin tips were also good but covered in a ton of gravy. My husband didn't care for all that gravy. I personally would have loved it so that's a personal taste issue. If you get the tips and don't like oodles of gravy ask for it on the side. It was very tasty gravy though. The coffee was standard restaurant coffee. Not bad, not good. Just coffee. I hope they get more staff. They seem a bit understaffed and maybe move the hostess to a different area. But we really enjoyed our meal and our waitress, who's name I'm probably remembering wrong but I think was Precious maybe, was super sweet.

If you’re looking for consistency, Dukes is the place! Every time I order “to go”I have to wait for 45 minutes (after my pick up time) to get my carryout order. So that’s consistently. I had asked three times for my food and then three times for my change because like an idiot, I paid cash. I thought my order was incorrect due to a shrimp smell. I checked the order and it was not shrimp. It was my $7 chicken! It looked like cat food and was completely inedible. I cannot imagine why people continue to eat here. . It must be because the patrons are 80 years old and have nothing else to do but sit and wait. I over heard the two “hostesses” complaining with a server about the place. It was his last day working at Duke’s so I guess it was okay for everyone to hear about the management and owners. I arrived home and tossed my $18 salad in the trash and ate cereal. Will never return to Duke’s!!!

Me and my husband went there last night before we went to see a Jason Aldean's concert. The service was awful. Can't comment on my food because it was cold and I didn't eat it. We started by being seated and after 10 minutes or so we had to ask one of the girls if they could get our waitress. She took our order and the appetizers came. Before we even finished them the waitress tried to take them and seemed irritated that we wanted to take them home. Its like she was rushing us. She gave us a to-go box for the appetizer before we even got our food. Needless to say we sat for over 30 minutes waiting for our dinner. Finally a different waitress brought our food out. My husband's was hot and mine obviously had been sitting for a while and was cold. Cold dried steak and the vegetables felt like they hadn't been completely warmed up and we're still cold on the bottom. My husband did tell the waitress that it was cold and she offered to warm it up but I didn't really want the steak to be microwaved and to be more dried out and I didn't want to wait. When my husband brought to her attention she offered nothing and was like I can warm it. We asked for our check and once again she tried to take our dinner rather than offering a to go box to take it home which I've never experienced in any restaurant that I have ever been to. Like we just paid over 100 dollars for dinner I shouldn't feel weird about wanting to take it home .After waiting for a while longer my husband had to go find her to ask her again to please give us our check and our to-go boxes so we could head to the concert. Very disappointed in the service and needless to say I will not be...
