Cowlitz Coffee — Restaurant in Castle Rock

I was in the food service industry for 7 years, I now sell cars. I don’t ever leave reviews but we are from out of town and came here for a wedding. My friend and I got up this morning wanted to try a local coffee shop and decided on the place with the skeleton… needless to say it was the wrong choice… the lady who made our drinks with blonde hair didn’t say hi, was short not welcoming at all. I ordered a social called the “bearclaw”, once I received the drink I tried it and it didn’t have a lot of flavor. I politely asked if she would just go ahead and add chocolate, to which she got visibly frustrated and told me that she had a car at her window and one behind mine. She said this because she didn’t want to reblend the drink…. “I could add some on the top”, to which I said “can you please reviews it? I’m not even in a hurry so take your time”. She then stated looking very annoyed: “ then I’ll have to get to this guy first”, pointing to other window. I’m totally fine with that, I understand I changed my order, but don’t make me feel dumb for it and literally throw your hands up and then roll your eyes. Asking simple questions about what drinks she recommended because we aren’t from here we’re met with: “I don’t know, but everyone orders the bear claw a lot”. Somewhat hard to explain over a written review but the energy the vibe her body language and how short she was wih me made the entire experience miserable. Do not go to this place and that lady should not be allowed to make orioles coffee smh I wish I was...

I think the skeleton is cute, but the coffee is basic and the service is beyond rude. I stopped by there because my regular place was closed and thought I'd give them a shot. Won't be doing that again. A lady with short dark hair at the window "greeted" me with "what do you want?" within 2 seconds of pulling up, I said "im not sure" and she was visibly annoyed by this and walked away. Paced a bit and came back and I asked if she could make a certain flavor they had advertised into a blended drink and she said "yes" and left to do so. Came back and took my card, gave it back (no receipt), and then might as well have tossed the drink at me before shutting the window. I don't know that I've ever had service so devoid of any joy at a coffee stand. I feel like she would be better suited working at Dick's Last Resort and not a place people go to get a...

We went the morning of 6/3 and the barista was so sweet and accommodating! We went this morning 6/4, the lady was impatient and had terrible customer service. She didn’t add milk to my 3 year old sons smoothie like I asked and like the barista did the previous morning. It melted immediately and is so so sweet. My coffee tastes like sugar water. Even better, it was $10 which is more expensive than Starbucks or Dutch Bros, which we frequent often. I went out on a limb to try it 2 mornings in row.
