Pie's On Pizzeria — Restaurant in Catasauqua

Walked in, and asked if they had meat lovers slices and older guy responded they only had one so said I'll take that and a cheese stake one. He literally grabbed the two slices with his bare hands and took them back to put them in the oven, at this point I'm already upset but I'm thinking maybe he's a cook or the prep guy because there was someone else at the front desk taking orders over the phone . Then another customer walks in and the same guy that touched my food is now handling money and electronic devices almost every customer touches. So I paid with a 20 dollar bill and he rips it off my hand and like that wasn't enough when i extended my hand to get the change back he literally dropped the money on the counter before I could even grabbed any of bills I could only catch the 5 cents. On a different day I would have just dumped the slices on the floor and walked out. Fortunately I was in a really good mood that day and decided to simply share my experience with anyone that reads this reviews because this isn't the first time they do that to Hispanic customers. Yeah sure I don't walked in and greet the staff with their first name but that doesn't mean they can treat you differently and with this behavior I never will. I rather take my business somewhere else. Because is very clear that if you don't look Caucasian don't expect a decent treat from this people, NEVER GOING BACK...

I have a soft spot for this place, for the owner to be precise. He helped me when I was 7 months pregnant and left a rehab facility in a snowstorm because I had over $160.00 stolen from my belongings amongst other things. It was freezing, wet and I wasn't allowed to even get my phone to call family. His pizza shop was closed, yet he allowed me to use his phone, gave me fresh warm socks and a hoodie because I was soaked, freezing and had no idea where I was. Anyone saying the owner is short of amazing is a liar. He gave me food, and as much chocolate milk I could want ( being pregnant) allowed me to call and wait for help in the warm. I promised I would come bring my daughter who is now 1 when I was still sober bc of positive ppl who actually cared like himself. Good souls are still out there and the owner is one of them who didn't have to but chose to help me on his day off.. I got a ride went home had a healthy baby and will provide an update on the food when I make my visit back. I live over an hr away but I promised him I would be back and intend on showing him his good intent went a much longer way then he probably ever expected. The food is excellent but im only giving 3 stars because the owner and the other one young lady never speaks when i come in the one young lady is very nice and always speaks so nicely to me. Last month I brought my friend there to treat her for lunch and she loved the food as well but didnt like the way the owner acts never spoke to either one of us while we sat down and ate. Our lunch the the young lady came over to see how our lunch was But the owner kelp doing paper work. But did get up for a moment and then walked passed both myself and my friend Never looked or asked us how was our lunch. My friend stated she will not go back there again. She didnt like the atmosphere and recommends I dont go back there either. We feel that if the owner or the one young lady cant speak to Minority people then you shouldn't be in business. I came in there yesterday and I stood there while the owner finished talking to a customer before me . He turned away and walked toward another direction plus the one young lady came up to the counter while the nice young lady " took my transaction" . I think the owner is rude along with the other young lady Either Never Speaks. I will not return. After this...
