Let me start off by stating that I am a very easygoing person and it’s really rare of me to write a bad review unless I feel that it’s warranted (I think this might only be the second time I’ve ever given a poor rating). I’ve been so excited to try this place ever since I heard about it pre-pandemic. I even told a few people I was going to check it out the day I went. The pictures looked phenomenal. As we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly waitress telling us we could sit wherever we’d like. So we took a seat and it took about 10 minutes before someone came over with the menus. No big deal. There were a few empty tables but with outside dining and take out orders it seemed a little busy. The waitress came over about 15 minutes after we got our menus and took our order. She was super bubbly and personable. The menu options looked amazing and I even made a comment before I ordered that I wanted to come back and try everything on the menu. I was really hoping I had just found a new regular breakfast joint to frequent and bring my family to. Then 10 minutes passed, and another 10, and another. The waitress came by and let us know she didn’t forget about us but the kitchen was a little busy and the food would be out soon. It had been almost an hour since we arrived but I was getting coffee refills to hold me over so I thought “okay fine no big deal”. But then the time kept ticking by, about 30 more minutes had passed before anyone came to check on us. It was about lunch time now and we had ordered breakfast. I was starting to consider leaving some cash for our drinks and walking out to find food elsewhere. When the food finally came out, it was very mediocre considering that we had to wait an hour for it (We didn’t order anything special, just the typical diner breakfast food).I also think perhaps our appetites had diminished a bit during the wait. We only had a few bites because at that point we couldn’t wait to just get out of there. And I was almost expecting to get a comped meal because of how ridiculously long we were waiting. But alas the check came full price and it wasn’t an outrageous amount but I definitely don’t feel like I got my money’s worth in service or food. There was barely even an apology for how long we waited. At one point I figured it was just an off day and maybe if we came back another time we’d get something better but I really don’t think we’ll be returning. Sticking with my trusted diners in the future. If you check this place out, make sure you bring snacks...
Read moreWe were very excited to go to Woody's. The online reviews were good, and they offer unique experiences like the coffee flight. We ordered pancakes, french toast, a standard eggs and toast meal and a child's meal as our meals. They were not overly busy when we walked in. We were pleasantly greeted. The menu is missing prices for the flights, drinks, and coffee options, so it is easy to over charge in those areas. For example, chocolate milk is 5 dollars, but that price is not listed on the menu. The price for a "side of meat" is also five dollars, but dont expect 2 or 3 pieces. That five dollars will get you one tiny piece of sausage. High prices are an unhappy aspect of eating out, but that is ridiculous. After ordering, we watched people.who came in after us get their food, eat, and leave. We waited 40 minutes before deciding to check on the status of our food. A couple minutes after asking about our food (we had to walk up to the counter as no one had bothered to check back in with us), our food was brought to us. All of our food was cold. Obviously, it had been sitting in the back for some time. We did complain about the cold food, but did not ask for a refund, which would have been logical since we couldn't enjoy it (we ended up bringing most of it home with us to hopefully be able to warm up). However, they were far from apologetic. Basically, they told us it wasn't their problem and argued with us about our negative experience. A simple apology goes a long way. It would be great if they get rid of the attitude with the next customer. We won't be back, since they indicated our customer experience doesn't matter to them. What a disappointing experience and terrible...
Read moreThe food was decent but the place was horribly managed. Walked in and there wasn’t any hostess seating people. I asked a waitress how long the wait is, and she said it’s “first come first served” seating, and that when someone gets up you can just sit down. There should have been some kind of sign or indication that was the case. As a table stood up to leave, the next group in line was expected to sit at their dirty table with their dirty dishes and half-eaten food. I was grossed out, but when we were next in line we sat at a table with someone’s gross half-eaten breakfast with salsa next to me. Not only is this nasty, but they are losing money having all these groups of 2 sitting at 6-person tables since it’s a free-for-all with no hostess. I was alot hungrier when I walked in and would’ve ordered more, but sitting in front of all these dirty dishes ruined my appetite and they lost out on a larger order. We waited about 10 minutes from then for a waitress to actually come over and wipe off the table. I don’t blame the waitstaff- they were horribly understaffed and clearly needed better management. It looked like one of the waitresses was recently crying- and I would’ve been too if I worked there. Once seated, we waited an HOUR AND TWENTY FIVE MINUTES for our food to arrive. At about the hour and 5 minute mark, the waitress brought us silverware, noting that they had ran out of silverware. Again, poor management, that could’ve been solved by having a hostess or more staff in general. The food itself was decent, but certainly not worth the wait or the gross-factor. I...
