Quite possibly the worst supermarket around! This place is dirty both inside and out, they put dented cans on the shelves and then blame suppliers (isn't that a stocker's job), their checkout people are old women who either are poor employees or close to retirement so all they do is complain while you're standing in line, the meat market guys are also rude and surly, and today was the last straw. Bought 3 items that were supposed to be $1.99 each if you buy 3. But then I was told, snottily, that NO one of them isn't a Lay's product so.....sorry. I checked the shelves where the signs were (and there were multiples of them) and saw that, indeed, my item was $1.99. Waited for quite a while for a "manager" who then went back to the shelves with the checkout woman following on her heels and me behind. They saw where I was looking, pointed out to me argumentatively why that thing didn't go there - etc. I asked the old checkout woman if she was arguing with me as a customer. She replied "no" but I'm telling you what you are seeing is wrong!
I wanted my money put back on my debit card. They can't (won't) do that. Only give cash. WalMart puts it back to the original form of payment easily. Why can't Stater Bros.?
Not to mention the fact that most of what they carry now is their own store brand and I don't care what people say - store brands are NOT the same as national brands.
I suggested to the "manager" that when opening a register - that checker should go get the next person in line - not take someone who just shows up. Oh, they do....she replied. No, they don't. I just experienced it.
And, you know what's funny, these people go on strike for more pay/benefits/etc. but then they are not willing to provide the kind of customer service or care for those payments. Of course, they cost the consumer more...........
And bagging? Don't even start.
Done with this place and any other Stater Bros. ...
Read moreStay far away from this store terrible customer service. The store managers too busy flirting with a lady employee in the flowers where the balloons at to pay attention to what I was talking about. So when I asked him a question he basically ignored me and then redirected me to a cashier. I go to the cashier to go ahead and update the bakery return and the cashier acts like she doesn't even want to touch the paper and she looks at me like I am beneath her. Like I'm a piece of dirt that just walked in that she didn't even know why I even spoke to her. Then she proceeded to go over there and get the rude store manager. The same store manager who ignored me when I went inside the store and told me to go over there to the rude cashier. At this point the store manager opens up another register and he proceeds to speak very loud and try to embarrass me in front of other customers. I informed him I was not being argumentative and that I did not understand why he was treating me so rudely. As well as I was informing him of how unfair and rudely the cashier was treating me. He then explained to me that he was not being rude to me while he was still being loud and rude to me. I would definitely say this is a racist discriminatory store. I actually came in to place a bigger order with the company that I own. But then I realize that I cannot do business with a store that discriminates against people regarding the race. Well they say don't judge a book by its cover. In cashier that is mistreating me I was very disappointed because I make over 8 figures a year and I'm being mistreated by someone who makes minimum wage. But the reason I'm being mistreated that way is because the manager is allowing this mistreatment if you come in with any other race than theirs. So if you're a minority.. stay far away from this stater Brothers it's not worth it they would definitely...
Read moreThis is a poor performing store. On Friday, November 18, 2024 at approximately 7:40 AM I walked in to buy one item, a box of donuts for my colleagues at work. Ten minutes later I finally made it out. Two cash registers and no bagger. There was a cordial dispute at the cash register over the price of an item. The cashier failed to acknowledge as the line was backing up. She is always rude to begin with, so no surprise. Hispanic woman, I do not know her name. I should have gotten it. Short, older. Always a scowl. I moved to the only other open register. Three customers in front of me. In went orderly. However, the cashier failed to offer a salutation or thanks. This is VERY COMMON at Stater Bros. This makes the shopping experience unpleasant. A simple "hello" and "thank you" is not a big ask. There is an uncomfortable vibe in this store and I surmise the employees are miserable because most act that way. No smiles. No pleasantness. Understaffed. Long lines. I once had to bag my own groceries, albeit I offered.......to get out of there! If I want to do that, I will shop at Food 4 Less. Terrible store. Also, asking $6.99 for an overcooked chicken pot pie that has $3 worth of food in it, is ridiculous. I no longer buy it, and I did once a week. This store is not good and had terrible PR. Stater Bros. has gone downhill over the years and I will no...
