Highly annoyed. This is usually our go to spot for pizza as that is usually always spot on, but things are hit or miss if you deviate from the pizza. I’m not a picky person, but like any other person, I like to get what I pay for, not to mention, especially when doing a carry out order as they do not deliver. With that being said and wanting to avoid a mess up with food, I decided to order their Chef Paulinos Tossed Salad with the menu description as “Garden Salad with Salami, ham, egg, provolone, and feta cheese tossed in a homemade vinagerette dressing”. Now, the listing of what is in a garden salad is not on their menu, which is fine, as anyone who would typically order a salad should imagine it’s pretty basic...lettuce, tomato, maybe some cucumbers...basic. Unfortunately, that isn’t what I recieved, and of course, it’s not noticed until we get all the way home. The salad included lettuce, pepperocini, black olives, and was covered in red onion. No egg as specified, and to avoid a soggy salad, I asked for dressing on the side which they forgot. To me, this is screaming Greek salad with shredded ham and provolone on it, with way too much feta cheese. Mistakes happen. So we call at 930 (closing time on the menu is 10pm) When the gentleman answered, “Chef Paulinos we’re now closed”. My husband does his best to explain that he thinks the order is wrong and that we were given the wrong thing To which the reply is “well that’s part of it.” My husband responded that, that kind of information should be listed on the menu, as by the time I got done removing all the things I don’t eat, it was lettuce and meat and too much feta. So much that without the dressing which again, they forgot, felt like you were eating a salad sprinkled with salty sawdust. After 3 bites, I couldn’t do it anymore.
Again, mistakes happen. I get it. But Im in the business at a catonsville restaurant and bar, and the simple task of wanting to make it right wasn’t even on their radar. It made me really sad as we usually pass on Schittinos and Peace a Pizza for Chef P’s. Not sure that’s going to...
Read moreA) ordering works like Panera except this is supposed to be a restaurant.. I wish I could have seen how trash the food was before I ordered it. 1/10 B) the prices are ridiculously high for a place that doesn't know whether it is a restaurant or not.. I paid 22 bucks for a "custom order" where I basically paid 3 bucks for the "best sauce" on the menu... which was still trash. 1/10 C) my pasta meal came with a salad and garlic bread. The salad looked like one of those fake salad displays at Columbia mall. Trash. Texas toast makes better garlic bread. Trash. The pasta was dry even though it was doused in this special "pink sauce" I paid 3 dollars for and it wasn't even pink it was reddish and it was trash. I took 2 bites and tasted chunks of basil or whatever plant was chopped up and thrown on top of the pasta (that's not how you cook pasta ok. You don't just throw everything on top of the pasta and call it a day ok) Ugh.. Needless to say everything I tasted was trash. 0/10 D) The manager.... Good Lord. You don't ask your customer about where they have cooked before because you cannot take criticism. That is not how you deal with customers. Trash... Everything trash. -10/10
I wish I could rate this place 0 stars but google wants me to be a bigger person, so here is your measly one star Chef Paolino Cafe. This place is so beyond disappointing that I'm not even sure Gordon Ramsay could save it.. but here's to hoping that someone cares enough to send him your way because obviously no one cares enough to let you guys know how trash you...
Read moreThe food is good quality but the customer service is lacking. They're always busy and that's understandable but it still should be a priority to offer proper customer service. I came in alone with my grandson and when my order was ready offered any assistance no one offered to bring it to us. I had to ask someone to bring the food to the table for me because I wasn't about to walk away from my grandson in the world that we currently live in. When we were leaving I walk to the counter carrying my grandson carrying the two packages of leftovers which I had prepared myself and standing there holding all of it in my two hands. I asked the woman behind the counter if she could help me By bagging the food so I could carry it out easier. I totally understood that she wanted me to wait for a minute because she was busy. With another customer and I had no problem with that, but after she finished what she was doing she grabbed a bag and threw it on the counter and I had to put my grandson down and all our stuff and bag it myself. I was very angry. I felt like that was so insulting and zero customer service. Especially from a woman who probably has a child you would think people would be a little bit more sensitive. I don't live in a bubble I work in retail and I offer great customer service all of the time because I know how it feels to not get it. I will not be returning there with my grandson it's clearly not setup for people with small children accompanied by...
