NO 1 Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Cedar Creek Township

We won't be revisiting this establishment again. This was our 3rd time giving this place a try. The staff couldn't be more rude. The food isn't very good either. When you order, they don't take your information, nor give you an order number. When you arrive, you are expected to know this said order number. I came in tonight and didn't know the number as they didn't give it to my wife when she ordered. I was grabbing food for the family and her on my way home from work. I had no idea what she ordered, so I got grilled by staff for not knowing the order nunber or food that was ordered. They didn't say a word to me except that the entire time I was there. No customer service skills whatsoever...

My wife being pregnant really had a craving unfortunately had to revisit. We got an order # this time. Eas a gentleman who served me, first time for me. Wasn't rude, wasnt nice, just direct. This is only my 2nd time actually eating the food, typically just for the wife, and its okay I suppose. The meat in the special fried rice is lacking, the chicken is like a piece of paper, shrimp is quite big, and pork was almost non existent. NO 1 Chinese Restaurant located on Commercial Dr., in the town of Lowell, IN is a takeout business. I would go in prior to grab a menu and preorder from home. The facility does a good business & I often see folks running in and out with their order. First impression was that there are boxes, furniture & other articles randomly stored about as soon as you walk in. This is visible through the front window & to customers. A bit of attention necessary. I ordered egg rolls which were “very” good, beef chop suey & chow mein which were good. Ask for condiments to accompany your order as we did not receive in the bag. Rude people. Tonight I placed an order online. Spent $40 with a %15 tip. I live in Shelby so it's a far drive. When my boyfriend got back I noticed they forgot my crab Rangoon so I called back and drove back to Lowell. Whatever. But when the lady hands my boyfriend the food she says here's the crab Rangoon you say we owe you...like we should feel bad for asking for the food we paid for and driving an extra 30 mins because they forgot it.
